Wayshrine limitations

With such an expanse of playable area, will the player be able to fast travel from anywhere so long as certain conditions are met (i.e. not in the middle of battle)? – By Douglas Ownbey
As long as you have visited a Wayshrine, you will be able to travel to it. Travel between Wayshrines is free. Fast traveling to a Wayshrine from anywhere will cost you gold, and there are limits how often you can do this.

What is this 1984 by George Orwell? The Elder Scrolls is a game that emphasized freedom. This quote displeases me.

Fast travel is needed in MMOs. Can't think of anything more tedious than having to spend a good 5 minutes with my finger on the SHIFT key to run anywhere. People just end up afk autorunning.

Nobody but a crazy man would want to do this.

Hopefully they'll dial back the restrictions. And there better be horses to get around shorter distances. I'll even ride my horse into the bank and park its bum on your head if it saves me hitting an extra key or two.

I have often wished that there would be more lore explanation behind fast travel as it often makes no sense. I was one of the really stubborn people in Skyrim who never used fast travel except with the carts (because they made sense to me).

But I guess maybe we will get a magical explanation of sorts for the wayshrines, that will make me happy :)

having played and loved eve and EQ...

then having graduated highschool and moved out on my own where laundry doesnt wash it's slelf, i would like fast travel thank you.

slow travel does add depth, but at a price some people just cant pay. PoE is a GREAT new Diablo II game, i love it, but i wont be playing it because im just not in highschool anymore and who has time to not just bot a game like that?
