Weapon Racks DO NOT Work : V - Skyrim

I've now tried it while having the weapon equipped, unsheathed, and I've pressed both x and a while looking at it, and also away from it. There is no promp, and even so I have tried without the promp anyways. No idea what to do about it.

My bookshelves work fine.

Also, I just noticed the Alchemy lab I bought looks like this now: http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o224/rx_digital_78/Image12.jpg I have no lab, walls, or anything. My stuff is still in the dressers, however.

the weapons racks don't work for me either on xbox no prompt to place a weapon. and my book cases have the prompt but opens the window to select a book but shows I have no books on me when I do.

They're screwed on the PC too if you try to place bows, even causing you to lose the bow. Hopefully a mod'll fix it.

This has happened to several people on xbox but ONLY in breeze home. All the other houses the racks and plaques work fine. Some sort of bug that Im sure will get patched.

This is how i made it work on xbox360: Buy all the furniture at the same time you buy the house. Just then go inside your house. Should work.

My friend plays on Xbox 360. The weapon racks in his Whiterun house work just fine.

I play on Xbox 360. The weapon racks in my Whiterun house DO NOT WORK OR EVEN GIVE ME AN OPTION TO ACTIVATE THEM.

So no, it's not user error. It's a bug. The only difference between my friend and I is my friend bought all the furnishings at the same time. I bought them in groups on separate occasions. Otherwise, I have no clue.

You don't put bows in the weapon rack...you have wall mounts for bows.

I had some NPC in my house when I went in there the other day. Amren, I think. Maybe he is trolling around your house when you are gone and knocking all your stuff over.

Me too. My weapon racks in Breezehome do not work. XBOX 360. Didn't know about trying to buy everything at once... ah well. Maybe racks will work in my next house!
