So this is from the new Ask Us Anything. I knew about the in combat weapon swapping, which should be great, but not about the hot bar combat swapping. Weapons swapping should be perfectly balanced and bring great depth. Switch to sword and board if you're being targeting, a bow if they're getting away, or a healing staff for some off heals. There should be no problem with that. However, i am really worried about swapping out whole action bars in combat. It will be like fighting a character with two different specs at the same time. The way ESO lets you be so free with your abilities, with the entire pool you have to choose from you can create two totally separate roles at the same time. Say you're fighting a Templar and he's whipping his 2h sword at you while shooting out fire offensive spells. So you go okay this is a dps type Templar. Then by the click of a button hes got a healing staff along with healing class spells and defensive spells.

Its just a little much. The variety is great and it's genius to allow complete freedom to make hybrid classes and be able to switch complete roles OUT OF COMBAT. Bottom-line is I think full skill bar switching in combat will be an issue. Weapon swapping in combat and skill bar swapping out of combat should be great though.

Edit: And i really don't want someone to bring up Druids in WoW. The hybrid classes should be uniform throughout this game. The full bar switching would be like a Priest going from Discipline or Holy (Healing) to Shadow (DPS) by the click of a button in combat. Fully switching their role not just a Restoration Druid (Healing) going bear form (Tank) in combat. That only gives them some extra tanking ability, not the full spectrum of tanking abilities as an actual Druid tank would have.
