Anyone else seeing this possible bug.

I can wear both the ancient shrouded cowl and any other helmet getting both armor (and other) bonuses.

If you are seeing this do you think it is a bug or planned that you can do it?

Also, not seeing any visual proof (on the character model, but stat benefits are there) that I am wearing the cowl (even if I take off the other helmet the cowl does not appear.

My Khajiit can wear the Ancient Shrouded Cowl and the regulard Shrouded Cowl, gaining both bonuses. I don't like doing it but seeing as the Anceitn Shrouded Cowl glitches and doesn't show on my Khajiit, but it leaves him looking like he balding on top of his head.

I do the same, for the same reasons. Unfortunately I did find out that I lost the +25 armor rating for wearing the full set after I improved the regular shrouded cowl. When I wear the Thieves Guild hood (for example) over the ASC I do still get the extra armor rating but not with the regular SC anymore.

I got this bug too, I think I might be the beast races cause of their shaped faces.

Some guy showed a video of this with specific helmets.. i think they must have in game ID's that are matched or something

I am khajit as well, so maybe it is a 'beast' race only bug .. Talk about a huge benefit for armor and especially if you are an archer

Feel free to wear the ancient shrouded cowl, throw on the worn shrouded cowl (enchant it too) and then whatever else you'd like for helmets, I do bam 3 helms. But yeah no mask kinda ticks me off.

I found this out to, but I had on the Otar mask, and could also put on the Falmer Helmet. If I go to 3rd person sometimes it will only show the Otar mask, and the other times it will show the Falmer Helmet, but it will be just sitting in the air, my guy won't have a head, even if I look at my shadow the light passes where my head should be.

Also works with Otar mask and Jagged Crown, same things happens, sometimes I see the Otar mask, and other times it the Jagged Crown with no head.

You are right, for other it will have a mask over the face but this mesh don't work for beast races so they get a version without face mask.
Should be trival to mod, but would probably need an Khajiit and an Argonian version.

I also know that some hats show ears for humans and elves but they are always hidden for beasts. Would again prefer ear holes. Helmets feel painful.

Got this bug to on PS3 also had a bug where I couldn't use my weapons (my hands were up) and where I was stuck in sneak mode while standing,couldn't run.

Yea I got stuck fightin a saber cat,couldn't move or do anything, then right when I got up to turn the game off the cat died and I could move again,
