Randomly during game play my game will crash not sure what sets it off, but when it crashes it shuts off my monitor and locks up the computer. I get really good frames no stuttering or anything like that or graphical glitches or anything it just crashes, not error messages nothing. Tried rolling my video card drivers back, tried updating them, changing my sound frequencies nothing seems to help, is anyone else crashing badly like this or am I the only poor svcker who is. any help with this is appreciated.

I got random crashes too (Back to Desktop)... No Errors or something else... No solutions till now.

Hi all

At random moments (can take longer than other times) my Skyrim crashes my computer. I get a black screen, my monitors light turns orange (no more video card feed) and my music hangs. I have to manually shut down the PC and restart.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm running windows 7 64 bit with 560 Ti

And btw, it's different to crashed on desktop imo.
Our crash totally shuts down PC with monitor going black and nothing but hard reset helps.

I've noticed that this thing happens when I open big map, and click somewhere.
It crashed not on a map only maybe a time or two, so I just have a feeling that big map is a "risky" zone for this issue, but can happen, as I said, anywatime, but just might take longer.

I've tried everything I have read - turning off AA, changing my systems sounds playback quality to 24 bit 44100Hz
I even tried lowest possible graphics settings.

What is weirder, I think the length I have been able to play seems to have decreased each time I try again! Now I can't even load my saved game.

I appreciate there are often bugs on launch, but the sheer volume of people having troubles of one sort or another seems huge. Rubbish way to spend my Friday evening, might go out...

{edit] Not having the same problem as Ryomitsu - mine just crashes to desktop, no errors. Running Win 7, 64 bit, GForce 570

God I love buying games that don't work right, I must be half [censored] to continue buying games for the PC consoles get all the love.
