Weird framerate issue, please help : V

Okay. Recently whenever I look at the ground, my framerate drops from 60 to 20. I have no clue why it has started doing this. Help would be much appreciated.

Specs:
8 GB of Ram
Intel i5 3750k
Nvidia GTX 660Ti graphics
Windows 8

This shouldn't happen.

Are you running any texture mods or the HD Texture Pack?

Looking at the Ground? Turn down the shadow detail (no benefit over medium anyway)

I think I know what it is. This all started happening after I ran the Texture Pack Combiner batch file. That may have messed something up. I don't know what to do.

Even though I do not know what a texture pack combiner batch file is, is there any way you could reverse that?
