Well done Bethesda

I was worrying about the DLC being based on YOU being the Dragonborn, which I didn't like the idea of. But from what I can tell, it revolves around a different Dragonborn and not you, and so I am PUMPED AS HELL for this DLC. Just some praise for you Beth. :D

Hey, you'll still remain the coolest Dragonborn, the other guy is just a frustrated hipster from Instapocryphagram.

Sadly half of us won't get to play it, because bethesda is apparently the only dev out there who can't release their dlc on ps3.

It still could very well be about the player. I mean, if this guy is our antithesis that would require us to learn more about our own character and what it means to be Dragonborn to the point were we can form a thesis in the first place. HM isn't the kind of Daedra you encounter and leave without learning something deep, dark, and forbidden information.

Yes, we've heard, like in every thread posted today. It's old. Sad, but old. Bethesda builds for the XBOX and ports the game to us who use different platforms. Sony built a dud. You bought a dud. Think about it when you are ready to shell out the next $600.00 for the ps4. is it really worth it?

I'm seriously doubting half of the people who bought skyrim are suffering PS3 owners.

Whether you think it's old or not, it's still relevant.

And the system is a dud? No, Bethesda's ability to code for it is a dud. There are games that are just as or more intense than Skyrim that run beautifully. You don't see them making excuses.

Well said. Hopefully during the DLC we'll be able to learn more about what it truly means to be Dragonborn. I also want see if our characters are really a Shezzarine or not.

Half? xbox + PC makes up for way more than half :P

But yes, it's really weird how bad they're handling this stuff for the PS3 folks, they deserve some DLC's as well.
Guess you could always get a PC, expensive, but definitely worth it in the long run.

I have a PC already So why don't I spend $50 for a game I already have? And then spend 450 frickin' hours recreating the characters I want to play the DLC with? Because that's how long it took.

You got that wrong. The other guy is just another Big Bad who probably doesn't even have a name, only with Dragonborn powers. You'll probably never learn why you hate him, but you'll get an achievement for defeating him.

We already a know why:

There can be only one.

and if that isn't good enough for you, then how about this:

That guy told me that we all looked like dorks.

Like most quests, there is room for depth. Beth just has to explore it. This undead priest slightly reminds me of the Underking as well, so there's also the Talos angle. The key that will make or break this dlc in terms of story is how many times we run into this Dragonpriest character. If its just once, it'll probably flop. But if we run into him a lot, and get to talk with him as much as we talk with Serana in Dawnguard(if not a little more hopefully) we'll actually get to form an opinion on him and the story will be that much better for it.

The dialoge doesn't have to always be plot related either. I'd love it if these two characters went of on a tangent and just talked about what it's like being Dragonborn. That would be so huge for both the characters involved, I can't even begin to explain. Idol pvssyr builds character. We'll get to know his likes and dislikes. Even something as simple as that can make a world of difference.

No - it's more like a third - the rest are us disgruntled PC players. We have SUPERIOR systems, and we were the Elder Scrolls' Original platform - and we and the PS3 (which, in terms of hardware is also superior to the XBOX even though I prefer the latter) have every right to be annoyed - especially when idiots make comments like that.

Does this really have to devolve into a childish platform war?

Gods forbid we act like advlts...

OT: I'm very excited to see where the story goes with this one. Very intriguing trailer indeed. Good job piquing my interest Bethesda! :D

It basically is going to be about you being Dragonborn. They're clearly building it up as a Dragonborn vs Dragonborn showdown... which sounds kind of lame to me.

Forget about the DLC. I wish they would fix quest bugs and other game issues that have absolutely nothing to do with DLC. I'm still miffed about treasure chests that fail to spawn after reading treasure maps.

I didn't say the whole DLC in it's entirety seems lame. Just the idea of a showdown with another Dragonborn.

Well... that and riding dragons.

But you get to go to Apocrypha, the home of Hermaeus Mora...where all of H.P. Lovecraft's Eldritch and Humanoid Abominations have manifested in one place? Don't you want to go insane by just trying to comprehend the size of the tentacle that sings like stars dying and fills down the brightened sky?

Same here. I often don't play the main quest in Skyrim, so my character doesn't know he's the dragonborn. I was hoping I'd be able to play this with that character. It probably doesn't depend on you finishing the main quest but the guy did say "you didn't think you were the only one did you" so it looks like you have to have started it to be aware that you are the dragonborn.
