the power went out while saving my game, I lost my stealth wood elf, it was ok he was only lvl 36, I had a previous save from lvl 18 so I just opened it up and I am trying to build a good candidate for VL and/or DG when it comes time to join, WHat should I focus on?

I always keep multiple saves on a single character because of situations like this or game breaking things.

You either spent a lot of time boosting skills or you play hours upon hours without saving..

I personally have three saves that I rotate between which keeps back ups and gives me something to backtrack on if something goes wrong.

I don't have 300 but sure as hell have one that doesn't bring me back to level 18 again.

I personally would have stopped playing the game if that happened to me.

I save constantly. My game tends to freeze at inconvenient times. I have over 600 saves lol.

I'm ocd with saving, gets on my nerves. Got over 3000 saves though there is 250 hours playtime.

level 1 to 48 all diffrent saves each level has like 4 or 10 saves in it lol

I just have two saves for each character. I save twice, overwriting the previous two on the individual character to use as a rollback. Better than clogging up what little space I have left.

Ive used the five save plan since Oblivion.

1. Leaving your house (After dropping off all equipment and unwanted items)
2. Before starting any Major Guild and after I finish
3. Before starting any complex quest and after completion
4. before entering a cave, tower, hideout..etc and after clearing
5. Before I walk through the door to my house

It hasnt failed me yet and saved me numerous time on Xbox.

ok so I see everyone saves a lot, my guy was only lvl 36 so I didnt lose that much, I am going to work on illusion and archery since my stealth is already at 100 and smithing isnt far behind. I was looking for tips on a build not saving. But thanks

Since you're going for vampire, check out the Necromage/Vampire build.

I just smithed and enchanted me some armour then in a moment I deleted all my characters save some I'm going to have to start over. I also need those enchants.

I haven't done a VL yet, but I was considering a stealth/mage character since I'm told VL gives good non transformed stealth perks and a transformed VL has some good magical abilities. For my DG, I go like a foot soldier. Light armor, archery, one handed and block. Maybe that will help a little.

I only ever actively use one character, but I also have at least 3 back-ups of my latest save, and a rollback save for up to the last 8 hours of gameplay. So 12 saves total.

I have 1000 seperate saves...

1500 without deletes though...

Well, I have just shy of 2,000 saves in total. I use 2 or more saves per character.
