werewolf on master

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 5:08 am

i play on master difficulty using mainly a spellcaster character which is a werewolf

when i transform im pathetic, any random bandit can maul me unless i spam the fear roar and if they resist im dead

melee attacks barely do any damage either, the only way i can kill stuff is scare it or keep knocking it down. against multiple enemies im dead either way

whats up with that? i thought using beast form is supposed to make you stronger, but its pathetic

Its a real shame that, at lower levels its really cool and it is an insanely big boost in many sitiations but when u get higher u might aswell be a little puppy :)

Im pretty sure its cos the damage of your claws doesnt increase, it takes the enchanted effects of your weapon but the raw damage usually svcks if u are of a decent level,

pretty stupid on bethesda's part, they effectively made werewolves useless beyond lvl 15 or 20

I would have to disagree, at level 30 I encountered an orc with heavy armor and an enchanted battle axe I had to kill for some quest and I was using heavy armor a shield and 1hander. After several attempts, trying to bash out all of his power attacks and eventually just being over powered by him I decide to switch to beast form and I romped all over this orc like it was no ones business exploiting the werewolf form reach over his and the speed at which a werewolf can move while attacking. I feel that beast form is a very superior melee style of combat especially against other melee npcs if you know your reach limits well enough.

Although I dislike that you don't regen health and have to feed to get health, feeding is cool but you could easily be killed while trying to feed lol

I can understand why you can pick up weapons.

On master difficulty I would think it might be best to not use werewolf form unless its a one on one fight with another strict melee npc or atleast one that will melee when you are close. You can just stick and move the entire fight and potentially never be hit.
