Werewolves are weaker than Vampire Lords! (it needs a simple

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 8:35 pm

I personally think werewolves will be on par with the vampire lord.

First thread
http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1380410-werewolves-are-weaker-than-vampire-lords-it-needs-a-simple-buff/

Vampire Lords are OP in my opinion.

1. They have numerous powers that can be used at the same time(Werewolves has only 1 of 3)
2.PC can change into VL at any time and any duration and can transform back at any time(Werewolves have set limit)
3.They have different means of transport(by foot/wings/levitate)
4.They do take 0 or next to nothing sun damage.

Balancing suggestions(Vampire Lords/Regular Vampires- if the rumours are true)

1.They would be balanced as taking moderate sun damage.(explained by being "a very dark and pure" type of vampire)
2.Their powers should depend on their lifeforce(like magicka but it shouldn't regenerate by itself but by "draining enemies")
3.Silver and DG weapons should inflict more damage against werecreatures, daedroth and undeads(vampires included).
4.Vigilants of Stendarr should be equipped in Silver weapons(Silver Mace e.g) and wield a shield(Amulet of Stendarr-connection)(here will be a link to my future topic about VoS presence in DG, basically in the trailer there's a guy with the amulat of Stendarr and vigilant-type Steel boots)
5.Silver weapons should be enchanced(more weapon types, bigger bonus towards the undead, daedroth and werebeasts, added to random drop and NPC weapon lists etc.)

Balancing sugestions(Werebeasts) Page 3rd have 2 posts from vsions about Werewolves:D Thank you vsions, you're always helpful:d

ATTENTION! (I AM AWARE of the Lycanthropy Perk Tree, Some of my W-w suggestions are probably already in-game, by being a Perks(Savage Feeding - probably feeding on animal corpses or as a Feeding-Killlmove)

1.More Howl/Roar choices(like having 3 totem powers at once(1 is almost or the same(?) as a basic Fear Roar) [probably introduced into game mechanics by perks)]
2.Feeding not only on humans but also on i.e animals [probably an existing perk "Savage Feeding" - it could also mean "feeding killcam"]
3.Controlled "retransformations"(100 lvl perk or Hircine's Ring power)(to counter VL's willingly ones)
4.FIX WEREWOLF ARMOR RATING BUG!!!!xD
5. Silver weapons should be enchanced[ see: vampires balancing, points 3, 4, 5]
6. More Silver Hand Guys(I don't remember if their brotherhood is destroyed, if so some remnants should exist)
7. More combat shouts would be greeted(not only a Detect Life, Terror, Summon Wolves, Summon Werewolf) )
8. More buff to "unchanged form"(reflecting their "blessing") - 100 or so more carry weight, running, sprinting boost like 1.1/1.2 normal speed etc.

ALSO!!!!!!! A GAMEWORLD IMPROVEMENT
Add savage werecreatures in the wilderness!!!, wereboars(it would need a separate boar model) and WEREBEARS!!!!!

(with Wereboar, werebear being a were-choices(by contracting a disease))

Pretty much they should be how they were in Bloodmoon, only without changing every night, and instead have monthly lunar transformations. Seriously, I have been one shotted by 1 arrow.

YES, so much YES
I always get em in the butt, I turn tail the second I see a bow come out :ahhh: then I circle back to eat em

Honestly, I think Daggerfall had the best Lycanthropy, but I liked the way Bloodmoon's werewolves could jump really high and far, and they were really durable. The annoying thing was that you changed every night.

I don't really mind being able to change when I want, from an RP point of view it would kick some major ass though. If the werewolves in Skyrim where like those of Bloodmoon I would be an unstoppable force.

P.S To whom ever tweaked the topic and fixed the title for me, I'm very thankful .

I have started a new toon to complement my werewolf for Dawnguard, any advice for a new vamp?
But I'm still a wolf through and through

Perhaps a happy medium between Arenas werewolves and Bloodmoons would be in order. I do like the form we have now, it forced me to think and strategize before I attack. The only creature that I have yet to try and kill as a werewolf is a dragon, I really don't think it would turn out well, but a vampire lord should be an interesting challenge.

Yes the Bloodmoon werewolves were completely overpowered, but that was because of the Bloodmoon itself so I think the werewolves of Skyrim only need to be better defensively, and then have monthly lunar transformations. With those two things added I would be one happy camper.

I totally agree, doing the monthly transformations would lengthen the time required to fill out the perk tree as well. Best I can figure, I will be able to fill out the tree in no time as it stands now.( Depending on the number of feedings required per perk )

Now I will be able to fill the tree very fast because just earlier today I went into a camp and feed on like 15 guys in a matter of like 2 minutes give or take.

Daggerfall werewolves could transform at will too! They just had lunar transformations as well.

Yeah, Daggerfall by far had the best Lycanthropy, why Bethesda decided not to bring them back is beyond me.

Exactly......
Just pick out a fort or camp and BAM you got the tree filled out. Does anyone know how many times you need to feed per perk? It would be silly if 1 or 2 feedings = 1 perk, I hope it's more like 5-6 feedings per perk.

I never played either, just read up on em. I didn't join TES clan until Morrowind.
But from what I've read they both seem to be very good forms of lycanthropy.

I think each perk varies when it comes to feeding. And I never got to play Daggerfall, but Bloodmoon's werewolves were really fun to play, it just got annoying after awhile when you had to transform every night.

To Werewolf&Vampire: Are you serious Bill Nighey does Harkon's voice, and he was Viktor!

Bill Nighey.

I'm imagining something along the lines of Rattlesnake Jake from Rango. That'd be awesome.

Overpowered? I always survived easier as a human with the healing spell. When humans flesh didn't abound, it was hard keeping alive.

Man, bloodmoon werewolves were so much fun. All the high jumping and the running animation really was special. It was always a frenzy when I was a werewolf. It was always a desperate rush to find flesh.
