Werewolves transforming back

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 1:56 pm

if you think about it when you see farkus transform for the first time he kills all the silver hand and then leaves the room for a few secs and after a few secs when you see him again hes back in his human form. so seeing that i don't get why hes the only person who can transform and then only be in werewolf form for less than a min.

lol, nice pick up. Totally forgot about that.
Clearly Bethesda have made no attempt to keep any sort of sensible lore in this game. They just do what works best for them at the time.

Maybe they have Damon Lindelof writing for them?

I have said this before in similar topics and I shall do so again now: wait. Wait for one hour and boom, insta-human-form. You're welcome.

Not possibly, I think Vikas mentions the "Call of Blood", meaning when you embrace the wolf side, you NEED the blood to satisfy you.

Werewolves are like uncontrollable wild beasts (Ever freed one? It trys to kill you...) and Vampire lords are self aware (Lord harkon talking to you). Havent you seen Van helsing?

Like that one, this one is about adding something to the game simply because vampire lords can change back at will.

Yes. I'm trolling. Insomnia.

No. Like I stated in my post about this same thing, it's not about "simply because vampire lords can change back at will". It's about player preference.

This one is, as far as I can tell, about player preference. It's a valid/honest question that deserves some valid/honest answers and discussion for those that wish to engage.

I for one have always...always....always...since I first ran around as a wolf the first week of the games' release, found it daunting/annoying/irritating (depending on the game play session) to have to actually "wait" to regain my human form. It seemed logical to me that if I can force my transformation at will I should then be able to end it at will.
And no, absolutely not, will I enter into a discussion about the why's and why not's pertaining to lore. This is about mechanics. That much is plain and simple.

Knock it off Lorkhan. Those types of comments have no place in these types of threads. There is no need to try and debase the author for asking and derail whatever discussion he might be trying to spurn. If you don't like the thread and have nothing constructive to add....then don't comment.

[disclaimer] I feel the need to add this little bit: I see, understand, and agree with the arguments made for the way the transformation works currently. I didn't at the time of my original post, but since my thread I have played the crap out of my werewolf and found that (with the addition of dawnguard) my issues had been creatively resolved. HOWEVER, I think being able to forcefully end wolf form in or out of combat would be a worth while addition. Just this morning I ran around Whiterun mauling everything in sight. When I exited to find more to maul I was inundated by guards and got my ass handed to me. =D it was good times!, but it would have been handy to be able to drop wolf for, hide and skulk away to fight another day. Why? BECAUSE I'M A SNEAKY BASTARD SIR!

Everyone is missing the point. I understand Werewolves are feral. I'm simply stating:

Werewolves can end a transformation if they feed on an NPC.
They CAN NOT transform back before doing so.

Therefore, you are still "wild". And I never said anything about vampire lords, idc about them having the option. I've wanted control over my werewolf since Day 1.

And for you guys complaining about realism?
Transform into a werewolf and wait an hour without eating. What's so "realistic" about that?
