What about the Followers of Stendarr?

They serve any purpose/quest? None do anything but cure diseases and they even have a Hall of the Vigilant to themselves so they must have some other purpose. There a way to join them?

Nope, I believe it is for a future DLC.

Sigh thought so. Was hoping there was something to get a passive blessing like that of Mara.

For some reason, they remind me a little bit of the Children of the Light from Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time Series.

I always liked Stendarr, so I do not kill when I encounter them in the wilderness.

The "Vigilant of Stendarr" totally remind me of a Paladin class. Hate undead, daedra, vampires and such. Wish you could join that faction. Would be cool for my paladin character.

Same exact thing I thought when I first talked to them. That's why I killed them. I don't like the Children of the Light

Nah, they're there just to add flavor to the game, you'd be surprised to see how many things like that go overlooked. They roam and enter vampire lairs now and then. They can also cure your sickness, and have a couple of bases/towers scattered through the land. Perfect for modding.

I'd have liked to see a few quests from them.

Anyone else get really reminded of Space Marines from Warhammer 40k when talking to them though?

I do hope there will be a dlc where they feature a more prominent role. I've already made a paladin character that worships Stendarr. If she could join the Vigilants, she would immediately do that. :)
