What apparal does your character wear outside of the fightin

Post » Thu Feb 28, 2013 6:02 am

Basicly, your ''regular'' clothing. I almost always do this when I enter a major city or my own home.
For my warrior Valdis, I decided to give her black vampire armor as apparal outside the fighting. Her appearance is very ''Goth'' like, which really made a good fit with the black vampire armor. She isn't a vampire though, I am planning to join the Dawnguard. I know black vampire armor is light armor, but it looks rather civilized. So why not?

Anyway, if you do the same thing like me. What apparal does your character wear?
I don't do this with all my characters, I usually keep barbarians in their armor.

Whenever I change out clothing, I find my character not having the clothing they need when they need it. In other words, deep in a Barrow surrounded by Drauger is not the time to look down and see my character wearing party clothes.

Now, I armor up my characters and that is what they wear, all day, all game. It's what they sleep in, it's what they swim in, it's all they wear.

Oh you won't see my characters without their armor in the barrows either. But in cities such as Whiterun and Windhelm I do put the clothes on. But I do keep my weapons, just in case there is some fancy attack going out of nowhere.

My destruction mage has a couple of different armors depending on weather. He wears those even when he's not in battle.
My bandit girl wears a plain tunic when she's among normal people, to avoid unwanted attention.

The other two have just started out, so I don't know their clothing habits yet.

I don't intend to, I just forget. Probably because I am always in first person and never see my character.

I should consider the weather thing aswell.
Maybe I should use something like Skaal armor when I am in places such as Windhelm. The thick fur is probably warmer than the revealing vampire armor. :)

Male PCs - Clothes similar to Faendal or Belted Tunic
Female PCs - Tavern or Miner Clothes, depending on the activity.

For some reason, I just do not like the Fine clothes. I liked the clothing better in Oblivion than Skyrim.

My battlemage settles for simple robes. My Vampire Hunter is fine with the more simple peasant wear though he's partial to the one green set with the hood with it, as he has this particular obsession with keeping his head covered.

Uhh. I'll run down a few of my characters
Logan (my first character I ever made, which is named after myself, I wasn't into serious role playing at the time): He just wears his daedric armor everywhere.
Maul (an orc, no I didn't know/remember that guy in Riften): He usually wears Imperial armor in the cities.
I can't remember my Khajiits name off the top of my head, but he just wears non-descript clothes while in town.

Normally, I wear my Emperors Robes, a circlet, and some fancy boots and gloves. On quests, full Daedric set of armor.

Outside of my characters Dragonscale Armor and Dragonbone Weapons. She wears a set of enchanted vampire clothes made for magic use, including hood. Sonja Jade dabbles in a bit of magic and alchemy outside of being her Stealth/Warrior self. I also have a set of armor made to match Savior's Hide. When I want to just go out and hunt creatures for their loot and souls.

Most of my characters change clothing if they are going to be spending any time in town. The rule is, if I rent a room or own a home there, I change clothes. I usually go into third person view in town as well. Different characters have worn Miner's Clothes, Mourner's Clothes, Monk's Robes, College Robes, and the various colored generic Clothes. My current character wears Redguard Clothes all the time. If my characters decide to visit the Blue Palace, I almost always contrive for them to meet Taarie before presenting themselves at the court.

There's something outside of travelling and fighting? My character got married in his armour like a true Nord.

I used to do this in Oblivion and Morrowind, but I don't like much of the clothing in Skyrim. Too much fur.

Although, one of my characters typically goes around town and to court in his Archmage's Robes.
