What are some interesting enchantments for a sword?

I've been using a bound sword for my mage who uses swords a little bit (65 or so) but I want to get my alteration and sword fighting skills up, so I plan on going melee for a little while.

I have 100 enchant with the dual enchant perk, but only have the fire damage perk for offensive enchanting.

I was thinking something along the lines of Fire Damage + Soul Trap (mixed with the Black Star and hundreds of soul gems in my inventory, weapon will always be charged), or possibly Absorb Health + Soul Trap, or Fire Damage + Absorb Health.

Are there any paralysis enchantments? I haven't found one yet, but Absorb Health + Paralyze would be so hilariously dominant.

I like using absorb health and paralyze enchantments for my weapons, unfair but fun. If you still wanna do Fire + Soul Trap there's an enchantment that has both in one called Fiery Soul Trap. Fire damage isn't much, but that coupled with the standard fire damage should be good.

usually fire and lightning. Absorb heath and stamina is fun too. Oh and I just got the paralize enchantment too and thats been fun. Don't really use anyting else. I use to use the Fiery Soul Trap, but after a couple of days of that I have all the filled soul gems I'll need for some time.

If you get your enchanting skill up to 100 you can get the perk that lets you put two enchantments on one item. This perk makes for some fun. It's good stuff giving someone a beatdown with a weapon enchanted with both paralyze and fire damage. Watching an enemy fall down paralyzed and be on fire knowing they can't do anything about it is something funny to tell your friends about, lol. Take that filthy Thalmor.

lightning and ice would be a good combo not only do you damage your opponents magicka but you also damage there stamina and slow them down and lets not forget the physical damage or the lightninng and the ice.

Interesting enchant could be the Lunar weapon enchant along with either paralyze or maybe fear?

I play a Nord 1H guy with a minor in destruction spells. My weapons:
1. Bow with paralyse
2. Sword wth fire dmage
3. Sword with absorb health
4. Sword with soul trap
5. Sanguine Rose (before that, staff of frost atronach)
I find myself using #3 most of the time, for obvious reasons. I use #5 when facing tough mobs or boss-level mobs.

Absorb stamina and paralysis for endless power attacks and disable tougher creatures maybe. Truth be told if you do enchanting and smithing/alchemy, you can already get your sword up to a point where you 1-3 hit most everything, and paralysis won't work on the real tough enemies.

I'd say at that point if you really want power, do the fortify restoration glitch with your amulet of talos to get shouts with no cool-down. Use an unenchanted daedric sword (elemental fury doesn't work with enchanted weapons), and just constantly use elemental fury. That's a ton more DPS output then you'll ever get with enchantments.

I use Fiery Soul trap with Drain Stam.... on a 1 hand ebony katana, with Destruction (usually fire spell) offhand.

I did not know elemental fury didn't work on enchanted weapons. Bummer..... All my gear is enchanted... Oh well... I'll have to dig up an old blades sword I think I have lying around.
