What are the best, longest and most fun quests?

Post » Tue Dec 07, 2010 7:04 pm

I'm getting kind of bored in Fallout, after 70 hours. Can someone make me a list of the best side quests? Thanks.

You've probably done it but Lucky Old Sun is fun for half an hour.
Exploring vaults 3,11, 21, 34. Each of them have their own quest. You get the vault 21 quest off a guy in camp mcCarran, vault 34 from a pump station east of vegas.
A guy in mcCarran gives you a bounty for some fiend leaders, pretty fun.
If you haven't done it the Boomers have a few quests.
Jobs for the crimson caravan.
Jobs for SIlver Rush.

How about:

All of them?

As in "all" of the quests.

I have yet to meet a quest I didn't like.

edit: Okay, well, except for the one involving Vault 34. God I hated that one.

By fun ones, I meant the ones longer than 5 mins. Thanks for the help so far, anymore?

The people at Bitter Springs give you a good bit of fun in their quests. Do you hate how that book you "accidently" stole from the Crimson Caravan thinking it was a skill book and hate how you can't get then out of your inventory? This is the place to go.

Quests rewarded with Ranger Sequoia and Dinner Bell have quite a lot of sight-seeing to them. I also like McCarran bounties.

Def if you want a quest that throws you up and down the entire mojave blasting freaks of nature do the quest to get Dinner Bell at the Thorn.
You get to hunt everything down from Giant Mantises to Deathclaws. Its one hell of a hike.

New Vegas needs a "You gotta shoot 'em in the head" quest.

That being said. I liked Arcade Gannon's quest with the Enclave Remnants.

Yes, I'm waiting for this one to start. I ran across an Enclave entrance and hate it when I can't enter! Gannon is one of my companions but so far he has not offered the quest yet. Not sure what triggers it.

The BoS is the longest apart from the main quest imo, however it bores me nowdays.
Boomers have plenty for you to do for them.
Red Lucy at the Thorn.

Then go to Camp Forlorn Hope, then Bittersprings these two NCR camps have a ton of multipule choice quests that take you all over the map.

There's an accurate walkthrough on the wiki for Gannon's quest, but taking him to various high-tech areas and discussing them with him will start it, once you advance far enough in the mainquest. As long as you haven't been a jerk to him ;)

Three-Card Bounty (given at McCarran) fills that role I believe. Roleplay a sniper for maximum fun.

Check the wiki for "For Auld Lang Syne". It's a bit tricky to get.

In three card bounty, you gotta shoot'em anywhere BUT the head.

Quests that are long and fun...

Come Fly With Me :D There's a reason why it earns you an achievement.

Sunset Sarsaparilla Star bottle caps collecting.

Restoring Hope is pretty good.

Missing Laser Pistol. All your scorpion-hunting needs in one easy place, just watch your back.

in no particular order:
Beyond the Beef (even though the quest doesn't live up to its full potential in my opinion (you can do pretty cool stuff with the concept of a person being in the same fancy building as the man who's trying to kill him with assassins and such) I still really like the quest)
That Lucky Old Sun
Come Fly With Me
I Put a Spell on You (it's a cool quest, regardless of who you choose to help, but I like helping the Legion more in this quest. There should have been more ''frumentarii'' quests like this one)
I Forgot to Remember to Forget (this quest just had an awesome story to it, and Boone's voice actor is really convincing)
Arizona Killer
You'll Know it When it Happens
The unmarked quest of Vault 11
Three-Card Bounty
Bleed Me Dry
Restoring Hope/We Are Legion

Gannon, Boone, Cass, Rex and Raul's personal quests. Especially Gannon's, I love For Auld Lang Syne!

Heartache by the Number (Cass' quest) is a nice one, it takes you to a lot of different places and has a nice choice of endings. In fact, any of the companion quests are good since you have an emotional investment in solving them. Come Fly with Me is also good, if a little strange.

Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes and yes! Best quest in either game hands down.
Any companion side quest is fun, I haven't done Cass's yet, but all the others are amazing.

Hands down I think Democracy Inaction is the best side quest in the game, it was a lot of fun and a challenge at the lower levels.
