What are your "Little Vices" in the Game?

Post » Wed Oct 24, 2012 5:11 am

Hello everyone i started this tiny topic because after playing TES V: Skyrim for a while, i realized that i've created a certain type of routine in the way i play the game (little vices)
And i wanted to know if u people have the same as mine etc.

My "little vices" are:
- I play 3rd person all the time, except for when i use the Bow
- I usually remove my Helmet/shield/weapons when i'm in the main Cities (lol) or when i know i have no enemies around.
- Everytime i finish some quest or clearing dungeons etc, i stop by whiterun (usually and preferebly whiterun) to sell the stuff i got and dont really need. And to plan on what to do next.
...

Keep Rollin

I don't take my amor off as I always forget to put it back on when I need it.

I think the one thing I do that is consistent is to close doors. I got in the habit as a way to know if I cleared a room or not and it has carried over still to this day. I will take every gem I can find, even though I never sell them or make jewelery. And, I have to stop collecting houses, I never can remember where my stuff is.

I visit the home and wife (and now kids) between quests.

I wear full sets of armor (if at all possible). No mix matching if possible.

I prefer open helms.

I always have some Mead or Ale on me. About 3 bottles of each.

Not sure I'd count them as vices, habits perhaps.
  • Play in 1st person except for vanity shots.
  • Change into clothes when in town. A couple of times a dragon has then appeared and I have to :bolt:
  • Hoard crafting materials, potions etc.
  • Only start using arrows better than iron when I can make money selling iron arrows.
  • Take every thing sellable (even pots and kettles) from a dungeon. Make multiple trips if neccessary.

Lol a bit the same to me, i own 3 houses by now in the game (Solitude, Riften and Whiterun) and i have stuff kept in the 3 houses which sometimes confuses me if i have to get something from them
Closing the Doors all the time, lol man you have an awesome habit ;)

Soul Gems sometimes i have so many i leave them behind, only if it's Grand or Black Soul Gems... I do the same with armor and weapons now.
I have no point in gather a great armor if i can enchant it better. it's worth for selling though.

Practically all of my characters do the main quest up to the point of activating the random dragons before going to do other things. Only 3 characters haven't because they are 'nobody' type characters.
