What did you do on that Lucky Old Sun Quest?

On that Lucky Old Sun quest, at the end at the control terminal, who did you give power to?
I set up ARCH II and the Orbital Laser of the Euclid's C-Finder because that weapon is "the bomb".
What did you do and why?

I believe you forgot the option where you can cause a surge that completly disables Helios 1

You mean give power to full region and overload the energy? (Emergency Output Level)

First few times Archimedes, then realised I only used it as a test once..
Now if I'm a good little waster I spread the love power to the region in full.
If a big bad wolf, balf? I turn on the pretty light show.

I gave it to the Full region: The terminal will warn of brownouts, but at least everyone gets a little power.

I'm a little confused on this one though. Is this the one I could go back and change or someone else could change and then still destroy the NCR? Maybe I should have chosen the Full Region one with Emergency Output Levels?

If you set up ARCH II, you destroy all the NCR outside Helios 1, in the restricted, fenced yard.
I love seeing that ORBITAL LASER

Sometimes I think we're FNV twins.

it depends on the playthrough. NCR character i did the pro-NCR choice, Legion and House characters I did the ARCHIMEDES laser thing, but i encountered a glitch that will not let it shoot ever, so i really only got to use it a couple times.

I remember what annoyed me is Arcade whining in my ear during that whole quest. I tried to reason with him that giving all the power just to one area, no matter who it is, didn't seem all that fair and that calmed him down, but sheesh. :D

I did try the bad-karma way (because I like to know what happens) to see if Boone/Arcade would react (only Arcade did, I had too much NCR rep) but then I reloaded, like usual.
When I threw the switch, I wished my character could've said "Let there be light!" with an evil cackle.... but alas, no.

Actually Archimedes I is the plant defense. Archimedes II is the orbital laser artillery that Veronica wants.

You can power Archimedes I, killing the NCR guards and getting vilified by the NCR in the process, and then (permanently) select where the power goes.

I've powered the strip, the area, and Archimedes II. Not sure what my fourth character will do, but after 272 hours I'm ready to buy the GOTY edition to get some variety. (I'm on PC so by the time the DLC shows up it'll likely be smarter to just wait a bit more for the whole kit and kaboodle.)

Archimedes II

Eventually I'll check it out, but I'll ask now: What happens when the various areas get more electricity?

Full region, didn't feel like giving credits to fantastic and electricity to the NCR, not that it would really matter. I think it would have been cooler if the areas you left out of power would have some turned off lights, while the places you gave the power to would have all lights on.
