What elements are you guys excited about mostly?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 5:00 pm

Any certain province you want to explore specifically?

Wasn't it obvious? Morrowind (and in particular the island of Vvardenfell) ofcourse. I want to walk the cantons of Vivec city as an Ordinator (hopefully they include House Indoril as a sub-faction to join) telling scum that I'm watching them, wade through swamps and marshes, poke Mudcrabs with my spear, stumble across Dwemer ruins and Daedric shrines and run for my life from Cliffracers and Nix Hounds!

Can't wait to see what armor and weapons will make it in. I'm also looking forward to learning more about the crafting system.
Yeah I'm interested in what the variety of weapons there will be. And I wonder if they're going to add professions? Probably not. I'm thinking too much of WoW.

Excited? Honestly, none of the information yet grabbed me. I'm currently testing Firefall, Guild Wars 2, and The Secret World with more MMOs I'm interested in still in development. With the both the amount and quality of competition available, I need something to pull me to a game - I already did something unusual for me, and despite testing TERA I didn't play it at launch since I'm so busy.

I need some differentiation to drag me in, I may like the ES games, but the name isn't enough to make me pay.

I am simply interested in the World and the old New Lore and refinement of the old lore.

Well yeah you could be excited for a game, well; 1. It's ES online and a lot of people have been craving. so far there is some suitable info to get us talking about. BTW, how is firefall? I've been waiting for my beta invite forever.

Exploring Tamriel for sure... I mean, everyone is so obsessed with Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim (me with Skryim lol). But I can't wait to see West Valenwood or Elseweyr and everywhere else... Except Orsinium. I think what Bethesda is waiting for is to see what most players' favorite country is, and make TES VI in that country... I'm hoping not, because TES:O is coming out in 2013, and if my idea is correct, Bethsda is not going to start developing the game until then...
I hope I'm wrong!

Seeing some new forms of Khajiit, I'm sick of Ohmes-raht and Suthay-raht. If we go into Elsweyr, they've got to have some Senche, Alfiq or Dagi.

Excellent. It's still in very early stages though (much earlier than I expected when I was invited a few months back). We just finally went to 24/7 testing within the last month or so, and got our first look at part of the open world. The latest content patch was concerned with refining and the like, which was something of a help - although the ramp on difficulty of acquisition for gear is still screwy (hard to get basic stuff, but not enough variance to make getting perfect gear hard). Currently haven't logged on in a bit since Red 5's hard compatibility guy is working on a fix for some FPS trouble I have, and I've already been over all the content many times though. Still, likely my favorite game so far this year even with how primitive things remain. Looking forward to seeing the Mourningstar frame as well (although we're nowhere near that).

If you really want an invite try the forums, I'd give you one but I just finished disposing of my latest set of friend invites (they've been giving them out faster lately, I think we've got six since February).

Most definitely looking to explore more than anything. If the game is anything like I expect then venturing into faction infested territory to explore shouldn't be a problem assuming that my assassin night-walking khajiit has some kind of invisibility potion or skill that will allow me to stay hidden. Most likely it won't be that way, but I'd like to think I'm very good at staying hidden ^.^

Hopefully they'll put as much work into the little dungeon stories and overall lore that they have in Skyrim. That's what TES is about right? RIGHT?!

I'm excited about the factions but the factions dictate what race you can play as? If I want to be a Nord, I have no choice but to be in the Ebonheart Pact? I hoped the races wouldn't decide what faction you play as... its a little 'been there, done that" after playing WoW. I had hoped that I could decide which faction I side with instead of that choice being made for me. As it stands now, I'm going to wait and read a few reviews before I pick this up.

So if I'm understanding you correctly, then I could make a game called "The Elder Scrolls: Turdmonkey" about a monkey that throws poop and elderly women trying to cross the street and you would give be $60 for a copy? I am so on this!

To me, it's the ability to explore (in time) the entire continent of Tamriel, especially the provinces we haven't seen in a SP game yet. That is my main reason for anticipating this game as much as I do.

I got to admit, that gets to me and appeals to me a lot. But, at the same time, I am afraid that ZOS will treat Tamriel's different areas like BioWare treats the SW:TOR galaxy's different planets.

I really want to see more info on how this will be handled.

I dont like Turdmonkeys but why not if I was into that kind of stuff. I just want to point out this is MMORPG, we get 1-3 per year, and probably next 10 year when next ES MMORPG comes.

Im most excited for the hubless quest design, and exploring of the areas that arent present in the TES games. Combat sound interesting, i like the idea of the stamina bar and the cross class combo, let just hope its well executed. The Faction PvP and 3 factions seems nice, how ever im scratching my head abit with the factions beeing so race restricted, not a game breaker for me, but its a bit weird.

Overall im happy featurewise, its up to ZOS it executed well which going by other companys track record seems very hard and very few mmos turn out well in the end. That and im probally the only TES fan that is happy its not FPS (mainly because all medival/fanatsy FPS mmos ive played, mortal online and darkfall, have been crap combatwise imo).

Mostly I'm excited to watch the game crash and burn OR to see the devs backpedal and give us what most TES fans would truly want in an MMO.

thats a bit sad and petty tbh

"I want to see Red Mountain again, Gandalf!"

This resumes IT ALL!! Indeed this is my desire! Walk again for the land of morrowind... ahh... :celebration:

Factions are forced and race-based so no.

Public dungeons are old hat so no.

Customization...of what? We have no info on this so no.

No info on classes except they will exist and I'd prefer a classless, levelless, skill+attribute system so no.

They are not yet talking about mounts so no.

Mostly I'm excited to watch the game crash and burn OR to see the devs backpedal and give us what most TES fans would truly want in an MMO.

I am also interested to see how they portray the other as-of-yet-unseen other provinces. If the leaked screens are any indication, they will be small-scale and lackluster so I'm not excited, just interested. Also most of the land you go into will likely be the dominion of the other factions so you have a good chance of getting murdered while trying to check out Hammerfell on your Dunmer.

What he said.

Well the first thing is easy:

Black Marsh, I freaking love swamp environments done in games, and I've wanted to see this one for sooo long, My very first character in TES games was a spear wielding Argonian.

After that, I'm curious to see how the crafting and pvp system is going to work since those are two things that will be very new, yes past TES games had some crafting (I consider alchemy to be crafting) I don't think the MMO system will work the exact same way, so I'm curious to see how this all balances out with an economy.

Finally, I want to know about guild support in the game, I already plan on starting a guild of my own in-game, and the sooner I learn about what the game offers for guilds the sooner I can begin planning it.

I didn't catch the morrowind reference, my mistake. Ha!
But I like your plan. Very cool.

None because it is the same generic Wow mmo elements that I have been playing since 2004. Disappointed they changed everything that a great Elder Scrolls game is supposed to be.

Well we don't know that yet. I think everyone knows we dropped that "WoW clone" stuff. It can very well be different than other MMOs and It is possible.

I didn't say I don't care. I care deeply and passionately. I want to watch it fail horribly in its current state OR do an about face and become the game it should be. What about that made you think I didn't care? Hence why I'm here.

It's not going to change so you might as well move on,there comes a time when all you are doing is trolling. You don't like the game and you want to see it crash, that isn't going to happen so all you are doing is wasting your time and trolling.

You really don't matter in the big scale of things.
