http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1238991-proper-fix-for-hd-4000-series-with-dual-core-processors/ helped me a little. It fixed the texture problem from loading, but once I cross to a new level, the textures look monocolored again.
That doesn't make sense that duel core processors would mess up. What was Carmack using when he made this? A Pentium 4?
Also http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1238209-low-end-ati-hd-card-game-fixed/ and that didn't help much.
Its real , Here is notes from the patch :
"If you have an AMD graphics card with a dual core CPU system you may experience severe hitching and low frame rates. This has been identified as a driver problem. We are actively working with AMD on a solution to this problem. As a temporary workaround you may add the following to the RAGE launch options in Steam:
+jobs_numThreads 0
The launch options can be found by right-clicking on RAGE in Steam and selecting "Properties". Then click on "Set Launch Options" in the dialog that pops up."
The numthreads did not help me a bit , Game still locks/freezes if AI on and get ur problem if AI Off , So as i mentioned before .. i am gonna wait for a new driver .
