What's going on with those shadows?

Shadows seem to be doing something very odd in Skyrim. Indoors the shadows cast by NPCs are in constant flux with no definition and very patchy in parts. Outside, the shadows cast by buildings seem to extend and detract from their normal outlines which at first I thought was due to movements of the sun in-game, but seeing as the shadows recede and then suddenly jump back to the original outline I suspect this is part of the low-res graphics glitch.

Is anyone else seeing the same? It's not a major issue compared to the overall low-res graphics issue, but I'm sure Bethesda would want to know about it in time for the next update.

I must add that I am absolutely loving this game despite the horrid low-res textures. Although I am giving Windhelm a wide birth for the time being, as my eyes simply can't take anymore of the crazy pixelated madness of the city walls. It's all very reminiscent of Minecraft for me in Windhelm. It's a shame though as it should look fantastic. Looking forward to that patch.
