What Guild as a Paladin..

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 11:52 pm

I'm trying to play in character, and was wondering which guild would be best suited to a Paladin type of build (from a RP/morality aspect).

Wouldn't feel right to become a werewolf, thief or assassin  Is there one that suits this role?

Legion or Stormcloaks. Period. Forget the rest.

To be honest, the only guilds that isn't evil or unlawful in some way is the companions, who are werewolves, and the Blades who has Delphine

Probably the main quest, civil war, and the Blades for you then, hope paladins like jerks for leaders.

As a Paladin, I wouldn't be joining anyone. The companions are Mercs, not saviors of the people. I'd do the bounties on bandits, become thane everywhere, temple quests and all that good stuff.

You could do mages guild if you wanted, it's an ok quest morality wise. No guild is gonna fit like a glove for a paladin, though, no KOTN or anything like that. You could do the Companions for the objective of getting everyone cured, I'm doing it with my paladin just to do that. Also, Stormcloaks or Empire if you want to get involved, depending on your particular background.

Some other misc quest will likely suit your class better. The Divines quests for the Temples of Kynareth, Mara, and Dibella would be good, and any quest to defend the populace from bandits or monsters.

I made an imperial do-gooder, and The only place he really fits in is the imperial faction and main quest.... I've finished all the quest lines, so I'm just enjoying wondering around and ridding evil from the world.

BTW I'm still finding things I've never seen before... Yesterday I found Arcwind point. My level 18 sword and board paladin didn't stand a chance against all the undead and 2 dragons. But Made it through somehow. EPIC

You could hang with the Vigilants of Stendarr, but you can't join them. They are very paladin-like, except for their choice of attire.

they wander around being holy warriors and what-not, but they hang out in the Hall of Vigilant, south of Dawnstar. Check the Wiki or UESP for specifics.

They're like a Pilgrim class.

I like to consider them Battle-Priests, or Inquisitors when I'm feeling less charitable towards Tamrelic Religions.

Looks like Vigilants are as close to Paladins as possible. Checking their skill set on uesp lists them as being skilled in Resto, Heavy Armor, Light Armor, One Handed, Block, and Alteration. Yet it seems in game theyre wearing a mix of light armor and robes

The companions ARE called heroes, and if it goes against your moral standing maybe you could just not feed on humans, or simply just feed on the bad guys who had to die anyway?

I justify feeding as a werewolf as being good because well, if there's a dead body, it's allready dead.. I mean, it'd be a waste not to do something with it, and atleast this way that soul departed its mortal body for a very good reason..
