So my character is a ranger/stealth character and im looking for a guild to join. The only problem is i can't decide.... It is either the thieves guild or the companions.

But the thieves guild looks more like the tax collectors for the black-briars than the robin hoodish theme that was in oblivion so i think i'll join the companions but i'm not sure....

Does anyone know if the thieves turn out to be good guys like in oblivion or are they just rotten thieves...

i do like the thieves armor though....

From what i have heard, the guild 'o thieves has a way more interesting questline!

I'm doing Thieves Guild first, then moving onto The Companions. Thieves Guild has a very complex storyline (but is much darker than OB's). And you get good armor/weapons out of it.

Why not join both?

Companions have a pretty awesome perk.

I can't say what it is for fear of spoilers, but they have a pretty awesome perk. Can't speak for the Thieves' Guild, haven't done them yet.

You should join both. I have a pure warrior character and it seems stupid to me joining anything besides the companions.

Companions are kinda meh and that "perk" you get is really cool and all but just not worth it, I don't even use it. I might get flamed now
