What happens when legion kills Ulfric

Post » Sun Jul 29, 2012 8:51 am

so i have never actually taken the side of the legion because i hate those pompous thalmor soooo much.
But say i did join the legion and kill ulfric. Is there any hint that the legion might once again stand up against the elves??

I ask because i want to try the legion quest, but i despise those elitist elves so much.

The Thalmor will probably end up destroying the empire and dominating the other races once again in a few hundred years.

That's my bet, anyway. After all, it'd be kind of ridiculous to see the Legion just come back after all the losses it's suffered lately.

As for the elitism - I highly doubt that's what most of the Thalmor are like. Skyrim (the game) only shows us their worst side.

EDIT: Oh yeah, the Empire is not friends with the Thalmor. The current peace between them only exists because the empire was forced to surrender to their armies. In otherwords, the seemingly amicable relationship between the two empires is a purely political one.

It is certainly intent on fighting the elves again, but no matter which side wins, I just feel that a civil war must have weakend everyone involved to the point i'm not sure if either side could beat the thalmor. Personally I feel the empire winning the civil war has a much better chance at it than an independant skyrim, but that's just my opinion. neither the empire, nor the thalmor see this as a lasting peace, they've just agreed to take a break before starting up the war again, as both sides were very weakend.

Nothing changes, except a few minor nobles become Jarls. The Thalmor Embassy remains operational...AFAIK, the Thalmor patrols (and beheadings) continue...te Dunmer remain ensconced in the Grey Quarter and the Empire makes more hollow promises to get their act together before another 30 years passes.

And meantime the same indifference, the same self-delusional capacity to pretend that nothing bad is going down...the same deliberate blindness that almost got you killed without trial or any semblance of justice in Helgen and is getting many supposed citizens of Skyrim (probably second or third class citizens--definitely "smallfolk" not worth worrying about) their lives even as we speak...prevails among Imperials and Imperial apologists alike.
