What info are you looking forward to hearing most?

What leaked or announced information are you looking forward to hearing most?

For me, this early out, it's two things, skill trees and racial bonuses. As a hardcoe PVE player and raid progression enthusiast, I am a min/maxing fiend. I know min/maxing in ESO is less concrete, but there are still some ways to make an "ideal" character for my personal play-style.

For me creating the "ideal character" (for me) starts at character creation, and has a lot to do with racial bonuses and skills.

Bretons in Skyrim have a 25% resistance to all magica, which for a tank character, is ideal for damage mitigation. If I wanted to play as a tank, so much would revolve around staying alive. Since heavy armor helps against physical damage, and has no real effect on magic, having a natural resistance to all magic damage helps.

Altmer have a bonus to magica and have a skill to regen magica - ideal for a mage or a healer. Having that extra magica and the free regen, a min/maxer can allocate fewer points into magica, and put more to stamina and health, (so long as magica pool in the end is sufficient for PVE encounters)

For pure damage, the Skyrim bonuses to orcs and redguards are fantastic. Berzerker's rage boosts damage output. With Adrenaline rush, Redguards can use more power attacks in a given encounter, also increasing damage output.

-------------------

Knowing skill trees is just theory crafting at this point... fun to know, and a decent way to kill some time thinking about how things *may* occur at launch. However, since everyone can use any weapon / tons of skills, etc - there may be a theoretical build in which a tank wears heavy armor, and relies on magica for damage reduction and threat rather than attacking, and using stamina for blocking, so Altmer with magica bonus and regen could be best for that - it'd be nice to have a couple weeks / months to get used to the system to theorycraft.

ZOS needs to start "official" leaks! grrr.

Um, I think the universal answer around here is going to be "payment model."

Oh, and welcome to the forums! Here's your fishy-stick! http://images.uesp.net/c/c4/Fishystick.jpg

But yes I would also LOVE to see the racial skill-trees. I wanna know how much I have to invest into my Dunmer to get my ancestor guardian.

Make that 3 votes for payment model. Until we know about cost, pay to play, pay to win, etc, nothing else matters. A bad payment setup can ruin even the best mmorg.

Getting married and wondering what the ring looks like lol, good for the RP who like getting married. Seems getting married will give both party's buffs, experience in dungeons. Seems there is a fee to actually tie the knot, you can also marry multiple players.

I hope that they go with a subscription model with an optional B2P option that isn't TOO limiting. Typical subscription model with a Guild Wars 2 B2P for those who are used to the single player franchise. Not limiting, but extra bags, vanity items, 5 character slots instead of the base 3 (pulling #s out of my ass) and other things. It should be 100% viable on its own, but enticing enough that if you've got a spare $5, you WANT to buy something, rather than feel like you NEED to buy from a cash shop to have a good playing experience, or be viable.

And YES - a "this is what the skill trees are currently (subject to change)" --- complete [censored] material right there.

How the economy/crafting will work together is what I want to know about the most. I really hope items crafted by players are top quality in the game. Players trade among each other for quality products which drives the economy. I like that a lot more than gearing up from pve drops. It might be tough to accomplish though without the possibility of losing your items after death.

I'd love to see really great crafted gear, but I'd love to see more crafting to -support- PVE gear.

Personally, PVE would get kinda boring if I could sew pants that are better than the drops - it'd be a "clear once for the story" then that's it --- ZOS would need to have a TON of new content for that.

If redguards keep their racial, they will be borderline OP

You use stamina to break CC, having a skill that simply refills that, well... thats .... strong.

Well i'm reminded of how UO handled it and I really liked it. Did it have its issues? Yep, but I loved taking materials to a player Smith and having him make me a suit of armor. Now you could still find better equipment from drops but there wasn't really a method to where or what gear you would find. It was right place, right enemy, right time kind of thing so while the best equipment was found in drops, you had to utilize player crafted gear as a base set.

That style of player run economy really helped connect you to other players and added a layer of immersion for me as opposed to just grinding for a specific armor that everyone else is wearing as well.

There will be racial skilltrees in the game. And I can tell you 100%, NO they will not get the same racial as in the SP games because like you say, its way too OP. Same goes for a lot of other racials as well.

If it's once per hour (like once per day in SP) it's not that OP. Just like the Orcs, double damage given and half damage taken for 60 seconds would similarly be OP (in pvp) but for 10 seconds once per hour? not bad.

Yeah, we'll have to wait and see what exactly they do. But from what has been said, they are aiming for 8 hours irl = 24 hours in game so once a day would be negligible really.

That e3 was a belated april fools joke, they aren't going to waste time and resources on console versions, and the game will still come out in 2013 rather being punted to 2014 because they can get more money from putting less in the game but making it available on the broken PC boxes.

Raciaaaaaaals! Racials. Racials-racials-racials.

Forget payment model. We've known what it's gonna be for months anyways. I only want it so much so that people will stop bickering about it.

Yeah I am with you. I will at least try it no matter what the payment model is. Racial traits and skill trees are what I want to know.

It may be a repetitive answer, but I want to know the payment model before anything else. I also want to know if there will ever be an auction house. I also want to see skill trees.

I already have a good idea on what the payment model will be

I already...... well.....

I just want to hear that they are putting the "weird" back into the world. I worry for the Dominion's territories, I dont want them to be generic, I want them to be PGE
