What kind of performace are you getting?

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 10:31 am

My system is a Phenom x4 965 @3.4GHz
HD 6970 @940/1425 (Newest Drivers 10.10)
8GBs of Dominator GT @1600MHz

Playing at 1920x1080 and with AAx4 AFx16 all effects on ultra and reflections activated I get about 30-45 FPS when looking at things outside D:
Runs great in almost every interior but I still see slowdowns at times can't pinpoint the thing it's struggling on.

Just wondering what other people are getting with similar setups.

My spec is in my signature.

I run everything on the highest setting possible and I tweaked the .ini files for self-shadowing on trees and other objects.
Sadly I have no clue what my FPS is, but I never ever even come close to lagging out. Haven't even noticed any minor lag spike out of nowhere that other people have been talking about.

It looks absolutely gorgeous.

all on an nForce 750i motherboard.

I play on high at a perfect 60.

I'm getting the same performance as you at max settings, except I've turned off the shadows and am running at 8x AA. My system:

HD 6950 1GB @840/1300
AMD Phenom 9950 BE x4 @ 2.7GHz
4GB of DDR2 RAM

1920x1200, 4x AA, 16AF, Ultra+ini shadow tweaks. (Raised res. up to 4096 and added shadows on trees/land.)

I get mostly solid 50's but in grassy areas it drops to the 40's.

I7 950 @ 4.2GHz
6GB RAM
Dual 5870's though I only use one, seeing Crossfire is not working.

Intel Core i7 3.4GHz

ATI Radeon HD 5770

8GB of RAM

1920x1080 HD display

I play with the texture settings between high and ultra, with my draw distances maxed out and outside I get a good 40-60FPS. It varies depending on where I am :)

phenom 2 x4 3.4ghz
8gb ram
hd 5770 1gb

1920x1080 maxed out ultra settings 8x AA the works running between 50-60 with very few drops in to the high 30s.

I was pretty shocked when the game autoconfigured and told me ultra. I went through and checked what it had set and every slider is maxed with 8xAA. Plays like a champ, don't crash, haven't had to adjust anything, i've been pretty impressed.

Core i5 760 @ 2.8GHz
AMD HD 5870
4Gb Ram
Windows 7 64 Home Premium.

Running at 1980x1200, Ultra, 2xAA and 4xAF, plus I've turned on trees-receive-shadows and landscape-shadows.

I was getting framerates between 30 and 60 FPS until I switched my power plan from Balanced to High Performance, and so far I'm getting a solid 60 FPS outdoors and in Riverside interiors. I haven't got far in the game though, and as my FPS seem fine now I've stopped monitoring them, so I don't know if they'll hold up in big dungeons or bigger towns.

I do think there's something a bit off with the CPU power saving in the balanced plan, maybe only with some processors/motherboards though.

C2Q 2.66GHZ, 4GB DDR2 800 Ram, GTS 450 1GB. Almost ultra settings, 1360x768 resolution with 8x AA and AF. Used Fraps and it stays constantly above 40fps, which is more than enough. Occasional dips in some dungeon, but very rare. And belive it or not, not a single CTD in 27 hours :ooo:

Runs WAY better than Oblivion ever did :lmao:

Intel i7-860 @2,8ghz
ATI HD 5870
8GB RAM

Around 25-60 fps, won't go higher than 60 because of vsync and is heavily location dependant (it's way lower outdoors than indoors). Unlike some people i'm not talking bs there's no way someone is running the game on 1080p and maxed at 60 fps on EVERY location and ALL THE TIME with an ATI card close to mine. Also the game is pretty poorly optimized on PC and that is a fact.

Systems specs?

Amd phenom II X6 1090t 3.2GHz
8GB ddr3 2000mhz
ATI 6970 x2 crossfire
256gb SSD
1.5tb HDD

And I have it connected to my 55" Samsung 8000 led, so that's at 1080. I was able to max the Witcher 2 in all settings except ubersampling at 60fps a well so I want really worried about maxing skyrim...

Same setup here, except I have a GTX 460 card. I haven't touched anything in the ini-files yet though, which is probably my next step, because I'm not impressed by the shadows. Also, I haven't seen any of the dynamic snow they were bragging about.

However, I must say the game runs flawlessly even on ultra, with fast loading times, no crashes and no lags.

As a matter of curiosity, what power plan (or equivalent if you're on XP) are you using? Balanced is the default and recommended, but see my post above about the improvement I got using the High Performance plan :). Also, can you recall a location early in the game where your FPS are especially low, so I can go there and see what mine do?

ASUS p8z68-V Mobo
i7 2600k Sandybridge oc'd @ 4.4GHz
GTX 470
27" full hd monitor @ 1920 x 1080 rez
8GB RAM @ 1333mhz

All setting maxed out plus a few tweaks in my ini to make it look a little bit prettier and still getting 50-55 fps out in the wilderness. 35-40 fps in the city. NO crashes or freeze ups in nearly 9 hours of gametime.

Though my FPS stayed the same High Performance introduced hitching to my game.

I hated the hitching in Oblivion and the Fallouts, and was very happy it was gone Skyrim. So back to Balanced for me.

i7-2600k at 5ghz
gtx 580
8gigs ram, OCd

1920x1080

4x AA in game, 4x transparent set in nvidia. everything else in game is maxed except shadows which is at high instead of ultra. ultra seems to cause a significant performance hit w/o much gain so I keep that one on high. As a result most of the time I am pegged at 75fps (my refresh rate, custom timings on display) with occasional dips due to certain types of scenery, etc. The game never "stutters" but I'm not sure if that's due to an improvement in coding or the fact that skyrim is installed on my SSD.

I have yet to start tweaking the .ini.
