I played a bit with my level 38 dragonborn and checked out the chitin armour and nordic weapons and wanted them for my new character who's only levl 13. When I had a look at Glover's inventory with that character though there's no sign of that stuff. So presumably they're level scaled like everything else, which I think is good incidentally, I don't want to unbalance the game.

I'm just wondering, for some reason you people always seem to know these things, what level they're scaled to, so I don't have to keep sailing over there to check.

Well, I have a 17 or a 19, And they can use the Smithing Table to make Bonemold,Chitin, No Nordic Carved, Maybe that's for 20 or a Smithing Perk

Ash Hoppers are pretty nasty if you aren't careful.

Not as bad as those new spiders though. Easy to kill, but if they swarm you, they do TONS of damage.

@OP: I've seen them appearing on higher level enemies around the late 20's mark. If you have the Advanced Armours Perk, you can make Nordic Carved. Not sure about Chitin as far as smithing goes.

Thanks guys. I actually found some chitin after I checked the store again a few times, so that's cool. But I really want a nordic sword. Is there somewhere I can get one, or do I just have to wait until they become available?

Not sure if they're level scaled, but I just got attacked by a bandit in Skyrim wearing the carved nordic set. (+ weapon)
So atleast you won't have to wait it out in Solstheim if they turn out to be level scaled.
