What level were you after 10 hours?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 1:22 am

I just reached level 20 after ten hours of play. How about you? How long did it take you to reach level 20? Or what level did you reach after 10 hours of play?

My leveling has been about 3 levels every 10 hours of real-time. I've got a nice slow build going and I'm learning a lot. She's a fairly balanced character who can do magic, sneak and some combat. I'm not paying much attention to pickpocketing or block or smithing or one-handed very much but she's got a good balance going. I like to do a bit of everything so I'll get to those others eventually. Keep an eye on the sky. :)

If you reached that level so fast I assume you have been smithing esiecially, alot, since that increases your levels fast.
Or you have been power leveing your skills, which is ok.

After 10 hours of game play, I was around lvl 7-8.
I spent alot of time exploring.
After around 30 hours I was level 20. And I say around 7 of those levels or more, are from smithing only. Which was at 90+ when i was level 20, compared to my 2nd highest, one handed that at that level was around 50-53.

No actually I mostly only leveled conjuration, one handed and light armor with some restoration and alteration. I think its mostly the +20% magic leveling speed from the mage stone that got me those fast levels. My smithing is at 28 right now.

I think I'll make a new character, looks like I am leveling way too fast.

Level 8 I believe. I am now just a lvl 10 and I am at 13 hours.

I just killed my second dragon, except it didn't unlock my second dragon shout ability. Am I supposed to do something specific to unlock it? I recall the first one just being available after I absorbed its soul. The fight was crazy actually because I was fighting two ice wraiths that had killed me at least 6 times before, and suddenly mid battle I hear the dragon screech and land behind me. It was a joke how many health potions I went through fighting those three off.

I've played for a little over 18 hours and I'm bumping up against Level 9 (I'm holding off on taking the level up because it seems like I'm leveling too fast). I've been exploring all over the map and doing a lot of dungeon crawling and it seems like every time I turn around I'm leveling up, but I am not trying to, it just keeps happening because of all the killing, looting and trading.

Select the shout in the magic menu and hit R to invest a soul into it.

Who cares, its not a contest, plus since every skill levels you character now so you can get to level 20 in 10 hours by just being a smith and get your but handed to you by someone who is level ten warrior/mage. Whats next a [censored] measuring contest?

At 10 hours in, I was level 5. And now at 40 hours in, I'm level 16. But somehow, I've hardly don't anything in all of that time, and I've barely explored the world. I've mostly just stuck to the Whiterun area. Only venturing far away (which hasn't been all that far) if a quest took me away.

You know what? I forgot to mention that I passed on those stones. It took me forever to find them since I wasn't used to the compass markings and didn't wander over that way and when I found them, I decided I didn't want to level too fast. I might have tried one but I don't know if you can get rid of it and have No Stones or if you have to choose a different stone. I can see trying it for short-term correcting on a skill category though. Has anyone tried to dump a skill increasing stone without choosing another?
