Wondering how much it will take im only lvl 8 with less than 2,000 gold.

At least 10k and a ton of iron ingots.

You don't need to be an exact level. And the plots of land cost 5000G (well the Pale does, though I'm sure they all do). You have to do some questing in the hold you want to purchase land in first, just like how you purchase a house in the major holds. You don't necessarily have to be thane, as I became thane AFTER I purchased my land. You just need to do the main quest of that hold. Yeah.

You can be any level. Just find the supplies, in mines and places.

5k for land
200 for 20 lumber(gonna need at least 3-4k worth)
Clay and stone is free
Straw and Glass(1k at most depending on what you build)
Unless you want to mine the massive amount of iron it will take to build it you will be buying lots of the stuff
This is for the bigger houses though, so scale down if you are going to settle with the smallest house

How long will it take to make 5k any good ways to make money in this game?

Dungeons, quests, wood chopping, crafting. Plenty of loot to be sold

As far as I know, there is no minimum level, but you might want to get stronger.

At level 8, you will might have trouble fighting of the giants, bandits, and kidnappers. (I haven't fought bandits or kidnappers that were trying to invade my home, but they may be well armed.)


You need at least 5000G to buy a plot of land. (Assuming it's the same for all plots) On my nord account, I had 28,000G. I believe I have about 16,000G now.

It's 200G for 20 logs, and you will have to buy at least 15 corundum ingots. You will also need to buy tons of iron ingots. I've used up about 60 or 80 iron ingots, and I need to buy more to decorate the inside of my house.

You also need to buy glass, clay, and maybe goat horns if you can't find them to kill.

Stone and clay doesn't have to be purchased because there is a place to mine it beside your house.
