What question would you want to ask a dev?

Post » Fri Jun 14, 2013 5:21 am

I am seeing alot of criticism on these forums about the questions asked these developers during the interviews.

Now as I understand it it's not too uncommon for the subjects of interviews to draft permissible questions. But honestly it didn't feel like that at all, whenever they were asked a question they weren't ready to answer they politely dodged it and said they will go into more details about that later.

I mean it seems like these interviewer's aren't even watching each other's interviews, which during a giant conference that acceptable. But alot of these questions were answered months ago, in other conferences and interviews, some of which actually having been had with the same group that was being given the opportunity to conduct the interview.

We (the collective "we" that have enough information to at least answer the majority of questions that were even asked.) seem to do better research than the people being paid to do this for a living >.<.

The best questions out of all the interviews were from gamespot's twitter interview lol.

Is there any question that if a member of the dev team logged into these forums (maybe he got lost) that you would like to ask?

Reply with one question. :D

You can add a followup if it's directly related to the first question (as if you were asking the questions right in a row)

My one question: Will member's of opposing factions who are both in cyrodil at the same time be able to team up for pve content, and will they be able to meaningfully communicate with each other?

Are there dragons? :D

But in all seriousesness:

How many % of the game world will be accessible right from the start? (By that I mean, no updates or DLC-ish things)

I wish Zenimax would stop being cute and just answer the question: will we see any dragons in TESO?

Armor will have to be repaired. In an interview Paul Sage said that using way shrines after death will cause armor deterioration.

What (if anything) encourages group play from levels 1-49? Especially in PvE?

How do you hope to keep single-players in the game once they finish 'their story?'

Now this is not a dev answer but since they are following the exact same Darkage of Camelot PVP / realm vs realm set up..... And since the head Dev (matt) and PVP dev (Brian) both came from and built the Darkage of Camelot set up, I would say that it would be the exact same. So im 99% sure that enemies will NOT be able to communicate, trade, group, or heal each other.

They are enemies, attack them before they attack you. ( If its red, its dead)

The cyrodiil endgame.... PVP and PVE mixed in an area to fight for your alliance. defend your lands and invade the enemies. Also capture the enemy alliances elder scrolls. Basically the whole purpose of leveling and building your character and getting to max level so you can fight for your alliance in Cyrodiil. You will be able to keep building your character after max level with the alliance ranks, and AVA skill trees for more bonuses and abilities. At launch there will be 22 ranks. if it works like Darkage of Camelots realm ranks system you will be able to keep progressing and building your character for years after max level.

Will there be time exclusive DLCs for consoles?

Now that the relase was kicked back, will we see the Darkbrotherhood and/or Thief guild from the start?
