What Race Would You Suggest for this Build?

Post » Tue Dec 11, 2012 4:04 pm

So I am looking to create a new build:
Archery (Primary Damage Dealer)
Destruction (Runes, Wall Spells, Cloaks)
Alteration (Armor boosts, paralyze, and utility spells)
Alchemy (weakness to elemental damage poisons, poisons of slow, healing potions)
with a wee bit of smithing

I've rounded down my choices to either a Bosmer, Khajiit, or Breton but am having a hard time deciding.

My problem with Khajiit is that it just feels awkward being a khajiit in Sovngarde etc.

Bosmer are short and I am tall in real life, nuff said.

Breton has boosts to alchemy+alteration but those are my minor focuses for the build.

Your suggestions and comments are appreciated.

When all else fails I pick which race based off of my main form of damage dealing, you picked archery so I would go Bosmer. That being said, I'm sure you know this, but you can get away with any build with an Race in this game. Already made a pure sneak damage dealing Redguard, gonna make a pure conjure and illusion Redguard soon. Which one do you think you can put up with the longest?

Definitely Breton, and yes I know that racial boosts don't mean as much as they did in Oblivion. RIP Attributes

Definitely Breton

Then it sounds like you might have your next character.

Still feels awkward with a Breton in Sovngarde.

Hell, lets be real honest here.

Does it not feel awkward when using any character but a Nord for Skyrim? The lore just screams "NORDS ARE THE ONLY ONES WITH THE TONGUE AND WHO CAN BE BORN DRAGONBORN".

I never played Morrowind, only Oblivion and Skyrim, and I always thought it would be awkward to be anything but a Dark Elf being the Nevarine and all.

Bretons according to lore however are a crossbreed of elves and ancient nords. Just like Imperials are also an off-shoot of the ancient nords. So they aren't as awkward as an elf or beast race.
