What relaxes you?

Post » Thu Dec 05, 2013 3:30 am

Ok so on par with my previous post but of course this time I'm looking for what relaxes/calms you down.

An if it's your faith then go ahead but for those who ain't religious then keep your comments to yourself.

Now what relaxes me besides blowing stuff up is playing fùr elise on my piano or listen to classical music as I draw or write.

Things that trigger my ASMR.

Playing the guitar and piano.

Taking walks in the nature.

Sitting inside during the winter by the fireplace and drinking cognac or rum.

Morning coffee after shower.

Classical music and jazz.

Long bus rides.

I guess music. Or being social (or at least a resemblance of it) where I am (or feel) welcomed.

To name a few: leaning against walls, sleeping, playing guitar, listening to music, taking walks outside, reading, and being alive.

Rock music, good instrumental music (like M.E.'s soundtracks), playing games sometimes, reading, writing, and target practice.

Sleeping, eating, playing video games, watching a good ol' movie, smoking wacky tobacky, playing with my cats... or any combination of those.

I play Lord of the Rings Online or Skyrim to relax. I have fast paced games but they don't help me relax very much.

Time alone.

Taking a walk and sitting by the lake.

Hugs.

Someone making rings on the palm of my hand with their finger, it's incredibly soothing.

Swimming.

Sitting in the shower, I don't know why but I prefer this to sitting in the bath.

Music doesn't really help relax me but it blocks out whatever other distractions, so it half does the job

Walking in the woods

Reading

Petting the dog with her on my lap

Small fires

Exercise, in that afterwards one is relaxed

Laughter

Silence

The night sky

Hugs

The smell of a baby's hair

Music relaxes me greatly especially specific songs or artists. (Like Owl City, Forest Rain, etc).

I also find warm baths extremely relaxing and reason why I prefer a bath over a shower most of de' time.

Meditating

Nature - at least the very small bits of it that I can get to

Hanging out in Tomahna (Myst 4)

Long showers

The sound of water in movement - waves, babbling brooks, rain etc
