Whilst I barely have any money saved as of the moment, and it will thus undoubtedly be a while before I can afford anything, I am very much interesting in purchasing a new technology device to replace my current Acer Aspire 5552 laptop. My love of PC gaming, which benefits from mod-support, a host of indie games, a better community (in my opinion) and improved graphics should your rig allow it, has blossomed recently to the point that I am extensively considering building my own gaming machine. However, this isn't cheap, PC gaming isn't always the easiest (driver support, games not working on certain setups, and so on) and it certainly isn't portable. I am a technology junkie, who loves to chat to friends over social networking, blog, read articles, watch YouTube videos and so much more, so being able to get my "fix" on the go would be nice. Whilst my Samsung Galaxy Note is a great phone/tablet hybrid with its 5" display, it still isn't a productivity device. The lack of the keyboard means I cannot do my work on it, blog or chat as easy on clients such as Skype. Watching videos on it is, naturally, also not as nice as on the larger 15" display of my laptop. Tablets are certainly a nice compromise here, as the larger screen is better for video-consumption. Still, I think I really do need a keyboard for blogging, work, and so on. The 11" Macbook Air is barely larger than a tablet, so fits really nicely here. But, it's specification is weak for a relatively high price. So, what device should I get?
