What Should be the DLC for Fallout New Vegas?

Post » Mon Nov 29, 2010 10:48 pm

Ok there are most likely a million and one of these post, but this one is mine and I just want to hear good clean comments, no dikes or whiners, please and thank you.

So this is my idea of what sounds like a good DLC for Fallout New Vegas, I would like to see one that would lead to Arizona, where you fight the slavers and a under ground/drug cratel.

And one that would lead to Area 51 and in there find a remnant of the Enclave experimenting on some aliens, death claws, yao guai, ect., you name it.

Of course I would like to see California enough said.

And if possible, one that would lead to Mexico as a add on expansion to say the Arizona DLC, and I repeat if it is possible, so that would mean that you would need the two DLC to make it work.

But it would be great to see any one of these as a DLC I think and to have the DLC nice and long, not no two or three hours. I would like to see the DLC around like, between five to ten hours if possible and to add new perks, weapons, and enemies. But a DLC that is LONG NOT SHORT!!!

I know everyone is going to hate me for saying this but I would like to see something like MZ but with better execution.

I would also like to see some kind of playable ghoul dlc

New DLCs should also mean new companions (atleast one DLC with one companion would be okay)

Getting captured by a faction that intends to kill the PC but is keeping him contained for a short amount of time and he needs to escape using stealth and teamwork rather than busting out with brute force like in The Pitt.

I'd rather have a full blown expansion pack instead of 4-5 DLC areas.

Not to be too terribly rude but I hate 2 of those ideas.

MZ was lame and aliens are a tired cliche in video games. Also it butchered canon quite thoroughly.

I never did like the "oh you just got captured/knocked out" shortcut used in Fallout 3. You mean I got mugged by 4 raiders and knocked out, despite my set of Power Armor and Flamer? No.

The ghoul one sounds cool, but I doubt the DLC will have you control a new character.

Personally I'd like a DLC allowing you to revisit some of the locales from Fallout 1 and 2.....or a DLC that would be played after beating the main story (like Broken Steel) that would show the results of your actions.

Is there a reason this couldn't have gone in the other thread?

Regardless. I guess my choices would be full on expansions. If there is DLC of the smaller variety, I'd want new and original ideas. I'll be honest. MZ was horrible to me. For that, I'm not really keen on the Area 51 idea everyone wants. Only thing I'd like is some of the touristy trap type bars in the area. Having Area 51 and a bunch of alien crap would just bug me. Rather than be creative, give in to peer pressure. Awesome.

I'd like a whole new area, along the lines of PL or the Pitt. Though another nice idea would be DLC in the same wasteland. Add a new long questline.

Woah. Deja vu. Typed this a million times already.

that sound like a great idea. I would like to hear more like that. thanks Ratdruid for the idea, and for any one else please keep it clean. This is just a what if DLC forum. Oh and me as a friend if you want, I would like to hear what ideas there are and post them to help get info and see if the Bethesda guys like what we have to say.

I'm open to just about any DLC they make but I would rather them make 2 really good lengthy ones than 5 glitchy and mediocre ones.

Just more than two weeks. I was disappointed with Broken Steel bringing you back that early that your actions were next to meaningless. Bring us back a year later or something with radical changes.

Great just keep it clean guys and thanks for the ideas. I think it would be cool to go back to the Capital Wasteland too but that one has been played already and its on the east coast, New Vegas is the west coast variant to Fallout.

No dikes or whiners.

dikes or Weeners? Sorry, but I would like an Area 51 DLC starring the BoS. It seems to fit sence there are bound to be people whoi wish the BoS had a bigger role. So you should either help them take on the horrors that lie inside of A51. Or you could slaughter them and take it for youself.

Precisely. I always wanted to see what Arroyo looked like in Fallout 2. Plus a year or two would give enough time for the people who you screwed over to be struggling and the people you blessed to prosper. If you could bring someone into power it would be cool to see what kin of leader they became.

Yep I agree to that. I to would like to see some of the old places in fallout 1 and 2. But don't you think it would be cool to see something new?

Others have suggested it too, but I have to say. Going to DC or NYC is rediculous. Hopping one or two states is pushing it. Going to the other end of the country? That's not going to happen. DLC should ONLY be in surronding areas. Makes no sense to go somewhere else.

Also, I can't imagine going to some of the suggested states. Cali would be weird, since your condensing a huge area into a small DLC.
