What if Skyrim was released today?

Do you think skyrim would be a better game if it was released today instead of the 11/11/11 release date?

Of course, because it is already better today than it was at 11/11/11 thanks to the patches.

It would have more stuff in the game which is good but I'm glad I didn't have to wait longer to play it.

Yes and No

From a bug standpoint, it would've been better, guilds would've been better (No plotholes in Thieves Guild), etc

I still think Skyrim would've failed from an RPG perspective because Ken isn't here anymore, even with an extra year of development.

That would mean I would have to wait 10 months from now to start playing it. IMO, Since Morrowind, TES games aren't worth playing till there are a crap ton of mods to make the game even better, which seems to happen around 10 months after release.

Then I would have had to suffer another year of you guys.
...That's usually the cue to say "Joking, I love you guys" but...

Indeed, and more time on something(that is not in a development cycle resembling Duke Nukem Forever) usually result in a better product.

From a bug standpoint it would have been better, from a content standpoint it would have been worse. What I mean by that is, due to all the bugs and issues, Bethesda has added alot of game mechanics and items that otherwise probably wouldn't have been added. Things like improved underwater visuals, mounted combat, additional kill cams, crossbows that were all added via patchs (except for xbows - DLC) due to the fact that Bethesada feels more obligated to their fans then ever before because of the financial sucess of Skyrim and the bugs and issues it has been having. I expect to see more additions in patches and DLC that fans want, such as an overhaul to magic and possibly spears.

It would be different. And probably better. But I can understand why they did it... we won't have another 11-11-11 until 2111.
