What is the best armor for Boone? : Fallout: New Vegas

I'm Level 19 now. I currently have combat reinforced on him, and his beret. Along with the Anti Material rifle. What's the best for him?

He's fine in CA. But you can gun for PA too if you need to.

Do you mean Power Armor? I should always keep his beret on him though right?

With Boone it's not really relevant because

his quest gives you a unique armor. Beret he's wearing doesn't give him +5% crit chance (Object effect: None in GECK while 1st Recon Beret has Object Effect: EnchClothingNCRSniperBeret adding Crit% ). You can wear it during his quest and check it then.

err...Trade equipment with Boone and look at the Beret.

Anyway, get his quest done and that should be the only armor he needs. The things that'll kill him bypass armor, so whatever you give him doesn't matter.

Remnants Tesla Armour and a YCS/186, makes him even more of a killing machine than before. Still looks okay with his beret on too.

I just put him in NCR Veteran Ranger armor and give him the All-American.
Then, when he says he's got your back it's a sure thing! I can wear my Chinese Stealth Armor and snipe without worry.

Replace Remnant Power armour with Mesh of your preference, Chained prosttute Outfit looks really really......hard.......
