The draw distance and loading of foliage is so short I'm practically having bushes pop up under my freak'n nose. This games graphics is like from a ps2 title. The snow has no textures and looks 2d like everything else in this game. Some things look cool and pretty when there far away and massive like the mountains and skyline lol but that's it.

I went across the river from Whiterun/DragonsReach to climb up the hill and turn around to expect some awesome view and instead everything looks like some fancy 2d movie prop cutout and the land looks like an oddly shaped spotted brown carpet since no foliage or textures load from 20ft away.

There should be lawsuits for releasing such an unfinished broken game.
I mean would you buy a car without an engine or wheels?! I guess most of you would seeing how you bought this game or preodered it. "they can just patch it" Tiered of hearing the idiots who say that crud. Post patching is never done right and never fixes all the problems with any game ever. This is why devs and pubs need to be punished so they will make games the way they use to, COMPLETE! Are you playing a console version and if so did you install the game or are you running it from the disc? I read an article a few days ago that said not installing the game will cause it to run slower but installing it will severely mess with the textures and other aspects.

idk, i've not installed it on my 360, and it runs perfectly fine, no graphical issues, amazing draw distance, etc...

You guys are blind or out of your minds. Here's a simple test take an in game screenshot of the brown bull that is in the fenced in area in Riverwood post pics and compare you'll all see how cruddy the graphics are no matter what system your running it on.

Even if it a PC I think the big question is, what is your system spec? Mainly the GFX card. The game will automatically shorten draw distances and what not so you're not suffering from lag, and yeah it svcks but thats what happens when you have old hardware. Even on my 9800 GT the distance is a little too short. Sometimes I have to run around looking for the archers because they are not within the render distance. Oh well.

Do huge piles or areas of snow even really have a discernible texture in real life? I think about this every time somebody brings this up.

In my humblest of opinions I think there are we to many think they know it all so assume they have the right to judge or insult a community which doesn't just jump bandwagons but stays true to their favorite game developers even if there are dissapointments to one if the games. I love this game. Coming from a senior in high school that does laptop repairs for a computer sales Co. and landscaping jobs while playing varsity basketball and keeping grades up. If I'm the image of a spoiled beyotch well then I must have done something extremely wrong.

You have no clue what you are talking about.. graphics are dependent on your GRAPHICS CARD. Invest in a worthwhile card, and your game won't look like dirt perhaps.. And if you think it looks bad on consoles, then you are simply delusional.. Compare Skyrim to games that were released more than 6 months ago, and if you aren't blind, you will realize they don't compare whatsoever, unless your system has down-syndrome..

graphics on pc are fine for me...not everyone experiences the same problems tho. Like i was having issues where it would crash to desktop quite often and not too many other people had the same issue. everyones system is different depending on age, usage, specs (if your on pc) you could have a spec of dust on your lense that no one else does...not trying to be a [censored] im just saying one users problems arent always all users problems.

You waited 6 years for a game that they only spent 2 actual years of production on total. had they actually spent 5 or 6 years on it then it wouldn't be the broken mess it is.

Draw distance does svck, but the graphics and detail are impeccable when it actually does load. Caves and dungeons are best I've ever seen in a game.

I can't believe people are so full of themselves that they think its the GAME'S fault the way it runs on their system, it really is quite funny really, if your on the PC then you need an upgrade because default graphics AUTO to what it thinks your system is, try changing the settings manually if you have a brain, if not go get a console it looks fantastic on both and all the reviews and 99.9 percent of the community agree so YOU have the problem troll not the game.
