Just finished the game and the last boss battle was the Legate?

So what happened to Caesar? The ending gave no indication of his fate.

That, along with the inability to free play afterwards, left a sour taste in my mouth at the end.

But yeah i just finished last night and was wondering the same. Maybe a different set of circumstances, alliances/etc, would have an ending dealing with him? Not sure either. And yeah, finding out i couldnt continue after svcked at first. But my 2nd playthough will probably be better as Im sure there were plenty of missions i never did.

Caeser, like 99.9% of the characters in the game, can be killed. It would be kind of a paradox if his story was continued after the main quest was completed. It's really up to the players imagination if the Legion crumbled with Caesers death or if he's still out there gathering strength again.

Did anyone else's NCR ending glitch out at all? When I was doing the long fight in Hoover Dam, I came across two NPC's that talked to me as if the NCR had already won. I forgot her name, the commander you turn in the quest "For the Republic II" told me that Caeser's Legion went back east after their defeat at the dam. I just wondered if anyone else came across anything like this. It'd be interesting if there was a bunch of dialog that got recorded from any earlier point when they were going to let you keep playing.
