What if the main quest had a timer?

Post » Fri Jul 27, 2012 8:09 am

Just I though that occurred to me. If you just never go to dragonreach, Alduin just disappears. Never heard from again. Just nothing. No dragons nothing. This could go on for, well, so long as you don't go to dragonreach. What if there was a timer? You have three months before Alduins bring back the other dragons and kill all the citizens in Skyrim. Actually, I would have just loved to see this happen. I like the dragons way more than the Nords. I would have purposely have neglected fighting Alduin so he could destroy Skyrim. I quite sadistic with NPCs. He can't kill me so I don't care.

I don't think that would be a good idea. Because for one I don't go to dragonreach because usually I want to avoid the main questline.

Really it not about the timer, but the choice to aid Alduin. That is what this is really about for me.

There's a reason quests haven't had timers since Daggerfall. They're not fun.

If the main quest had a timer than I'd never complete it. I take my time with questlines.

Some people don't even do the main questline, so that wouldn't be good.

umm no thank you. I have a character that does no questlines and others that don't do the MQ. I like haveing that choice, I wouldn't want it taken away.

Do the dragons appear if you don't kill the first one in that quest?

Are any of you reading my posts? It not really the timer I want, but the option to aid Alduin. I just now realize that can happen without the timer. Just wish I had the option.

Well you're a Dovahkiin. Somewhat ment to kill dragons. I think it would go against concept, like werewolf hunters join werewolfs. I don't know it is just me.

I just which there were options to do the "GREAT" evil, you know. Kinda like in Morrowind when I wished I could join Dagoth Ur, or Oblivion when I wanted to join Mehrune Dagon. Now I wish I can join Alduin. Good to be evil.

Aiding Alduin? I would've love to have that option. Would've fit my evil characters better.

Dragons did not hurt the ones who were loyal. Plus please. Alduin can't take the Dovahkiin. The Dovahkiin am the only one who can stop him. Why not have the Dovahkiin on his side?

I tend to avoid the main quest entirely on characters who I don't want to be dragonborn or pick it up very late, Being able to side with Alduin would be interesting especially if you could watch him kill delphine..
