I said 15 bucks. Living in Europe I may agree to 15 Euro, which is nearly equal to $20.
To answer your question, 15 $/€ is really what I considder to be the upper limit for what I would accept as a reasonable monthly sub-fee. Having said that, if ZOS announces that there will be a $20/25 monthly sub-fee I would still be playing ESO at launch, but I would have lost a lot of the respect that I currently have for ZOS as a developper. I would also strongly reconsidder for how long I will continue to play ESO. I mean I currently expect a monthly sub-fee of €10-15, and I will happilly pay that for years to come as I expect ESO to become my long-term MMO home. BUT if ZOS disappoints (which I personally doubt will happen) I will probably be playing ESO for 3-6 months and then move on.
ZOS could disappoint me in one of the following ways (again unlikely as I trust that they will not disappoint me):
- Turning ESO into a cash cow by making it F2P/B2P with P2W cash shop OR by charging unreasonably high sub-fee of €25 or higher monthly, possibly with cash shop on top
- Not delivering good and frequent patches, bugfixes and content updates
- Frequent technical issues such as server downtime or constant server lag issues
- Turning ESO into a themepark ride where you level to max level in a few days by facerolling through content with closed eyes and all to do in end-game is raid or die
