Was in town and had too much armour. So i dropped 2 sets of Steel boots and an ebony sword.

Two seconds later, a courier came up to me saying 'I saw the armour you dropped, can I take it and wear it'. I said yes, and he picked it up, put it on and walked off. Another 2 seconds after that a guard ran up to me and complaining at me dropping a sword, telling me that someone would get hurt if a weapons laying around, and that someone would be me.

I was so shocked

I even got a bounty for dropping a sword and not being sorry about it (basically told the guard to piss off)
luckily with me being the than of whiterun they let it slide

I did something similar in a city. I dropped a bow in the street and 2 mins later a kid runs up says something along the lines of "You dropped this sir" and placed it back in my inventory.

Good. Don't do it again.

This game is crazy amounts of awesome.
