One of my characters is a Khajiit assasin/thief who joined the DB and the TG . He has no interest in defeating the dragons, he only seeks wealth and powerful artifacts.

Now, I don't see my Khajiit being interested in joining either the vampires (cat vampire is a no no for me) or the dawnguard , so I try to find stuff to do in dawnguard for my khajiit assasin.

Is there stuff to do for someone who's character is kinda neutral to the main story of Dawnguard?

the dwemer quest "lost to the ages" will get your cat a neat new artifact.

can I get the crossbow without joining the dawnguard?

Lost to the Ages fetches ya 1 and 1 of 3.

Yes, just use Thievery, some of them have one, but not equipped.

so Is there stuff to do other than a simple quest?

craft dragonbone stuff, and thats about all i got (although lost to the ages is a fairly big quest. If your not doing either faction quest i don't think there is much to do. Well you could fight random vamps in the woods/towns

Or talk to Durak in front of Fort Dawnguard - he'll give you a crossbow, then you can leave and never join the organization.


Not really. There are other sidequests, but to start them you need to first get access to the Forgotten Vale or the Soul Cairn, and this requires you to start the main questline. Dawnguard revolves about the faction conflict, so if you're not interested in that there's not much to do...
