What if they made a new game with the Dishonored engine and nice little details?
Single player game that had a complete open world where you could travel back and forward, still progress of course in the games missions and side missions.
But just a non-ending to it, so you could perhaps have more RPG elements to it, perhaps.. Let me think!!!

A survival game where you had this group of people you would take care of after something awful happened to the world around you. Like people waking up from death one day as zombies and if you got bitten by a zombie, you would die very fast or slow, depends.. and turn into a zombie.. Okey, got that part now!

Then you have these people (characters) that survived and yourself, and you need to keep the group going right.
Perhaps later, some point, you find a "base" a home, where you can defend but you need to go find food, water for the people in your "camp" right.
Also maybe there would be choices that would lead the group into different directions, and if there would be a "end".

The "end" would have to be that the world didn't change but you got your group to a save place, a place you can call home, but need to defend it right. It's maybe far away from whatever zombies, but sometimes they get close, still you need to grow things? Maybe decorate a bit? Make it a cousy place to live.

More mini games? Maybe poker, texas hold em' with some of the characters in your group because you can't all stay on guard all the time and need some social things to keep up the mood.

Oh yes, there has to be other groups that may be hostile, may be welcoming (but in the end, they want to eat you!) so got to deal with that.

Need much of the conversations, player interactions and that kind of RPG elements.

Hm, the ammo would be realistic, very little off.. should be like school and prisons, hospitals and places you could go to, to get stuff.. but very dangerous, depending on, etc.

You could maybe bring one of these people you meet and they could die, and if they did, fate changed somehow for someone, I don't know!
Just imagine it all in a grim world you see in Dishonored, same graphic engine and feeling of movement without the supernatural abilities. More open world, can go back and forward, huge town, huge forest outside of the town, so far..

Just as single player game as anything else would just ruin\limit the choices and ways a RPG works.

You really want a good Walking Dead game huh :P

All sounds great seriously, but the engine itself for Dishonored was some sort of modified UE3 engine I believe, and there's probably better ones out there but this is from the least technologically savvy person ever. Someone else would have to comment on that score.

Yes Dishonored runs off of a modified UE3. Hopefully consoles will get an upgrade soon so devs can start openly using UE4, without having to worry about only selling games on Wii U and PC.
