What's Up With Bethesda And Jeremy Soule?

There is a concert at the London Palladium featuring the music of "Skyrim" starting on the 28th of October 2016.

It's billed as being "based on the music of Skyrim" which sounds great at first until you find out...

Composer Jeremy Soule is advising fans to "avoid" the concert because it's not even using his actual score:

Apparently they didn't consult him and will be using a transcription from people who've listened to it and decided how it's playing.

"For the record, this concert has nothing to do with me, nor are they using any of my original scores" - Jeremy Soule

What's happening here?

The Elder Scrolls soundtracks have been amazing. Have Bethesda and Jeremy Soule fallen out?

Does this mean he won't be involved in further game scores?

Bethesda, who owns the score, licensed out their property for some concert without telling the guy they paid to create it for them.

So a bit like if you pay a carpenter to build a bookshelf for you, and then years later you let a friend borrow the bookshelf without making a phone call to the carpenter and asking for permission. And why would you? It's your bookshelf, you paid for it.

Nope. A number have fallen out with http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=433108 though.

Nope.
