That's just crazy how a giant can essentially one hit kill you with it's club and actually launch you upwards of a thousand feet or more and I mean that literally I was almost sent up to High Hrothgar's level. No other enemy I have encountered in any other video game can do something like that. It's cool, but just insane how they can do something like that.

It doesn't happen to me(I'm playing on a PS3) I just fought a giant a few hours ago and I was never launched. Maybe it is a bug.

PS. I was really looking forward to being launched.

Bug or not they shouldn't remove it. I mean its not game breaking and its awesome.

I have to admit, it's one of the more fun ways to die in the game.

i think it's their kill move.
I don't see it happening after I have lvl-ed and kill them decently.

I have a severe hate for giants.

Within my first two hours of the game sealed that hate.I approached them
thinking they were friendly like in the trailer. I was wrong. The giant caved my head in.

I'm thinking "Maybe it's because I stole his mammoth cheese, let me try to approach him again".
He's still hostile, even without thieving. I spent the next 8 minutes kiting this giant and plinking him
with a longbow / iron arrows. After running out of arrows and not killing him, I turned tail and run.

Now I kill any giant I come across. It sometimes takes a good bit of my potions and food to get the
job done, depending on terrain. But they deserve it.

tl;dr- I hate giants. I laughed the first time I was sent into orbit by that massive hammer they have.

Interesting. I have only noticed that they got agressive when I attacked the mammoths nearby. Pehaps that is why they hate you?

must be cause i walked rigt upt o one that was just standing over a dead mammoth corpse and he did nothing at all to me... Guess he was mourning its death and couldnt be assed to acknowledge me.

I love it. It's like a nice little tour of the sky. The sightseeing is breathtaking. And then you're dead.

I remember reading an interview with Todd Howard where he said that they left in glitches that they thought were funny. I'm betting that this is one of those glitches.
