What would Skyrim have been had Oblivion been what Skyrim is

like what if Oblivion had pushed the computers/consoles limits graphically like skyrim does and looks how skyrim is now

what would skyrim have ended up looking like now ?

The Xbox (and PS3) would still be the same system they are now.... Skyrim would look exactly like Skyrim does.

Skyrim's graphics aren't one of its strong points, it still has a bunch (most) of the problems Oblivion did.
Of course it does have a lot rendered at once, which is great.

To me, Skyrim and Oblivion look like games that came out within a year or two of eachother, not at all like games that were released five years apart.

If Skyrim had been released back in 2006, the NPCs would have been far uglier than they already are, and the Oblivion NPCs would have been less ugly.
That's about the only real difference I can think of.

The real question is what would Oblivion be like with the features Skyrim has added to it, while keeping all of the features Oblivion had(updated and fixed)?
