Maybe not one dedicated purely to cooking, but a Survivalist skill tree that includes food stuffs would be nice.

Yeah, i think one or two points that are dedicated to cooking would be pretty cool.

I love cooking, and hunting.

I don't personally have an interest. The majority of food effects can be found in alchemy, and alchemy basically achieves the same end result. I see cooking as more of a role play mechanic than an actual skill.

Me too. Maybe a Survivalist skill tree could also be used to set up traps, since it can tie into hunting and such.

Like said already, I wouldn't mind a survival skill like in New Vegas, but a skill solely for cooking seems like a waste when we could just get back more important skills that were taken out.

Survivalist skill tree? Sure. One dedicated to cooking? Meh.

Though cooking could be integrated into the Alchemy skill. The Alchemist, Physician and Benefactor perks would make the effects of the foodstuffs you create more powerful and the Green Thumb perk would double the amount of meat you'd receive from slain animals. Cooking meals would grant Alchemy experience much like creating potions would. No extra skill required.

How about a few perks dedicated to cooking in the Alchemy tree instead?
