what do you use to hunt vampiresdawnguard?

Post » Mon Nov 19, 2012 6:55 pm

Its a dragonbone waraxe with 30 points of fire and 30 points of silent moon fire on it. I call it the Ashmaker.
So what do you use to hunt your foes?

Haha, that silent moon fire enchant is a great idea for hunting vampires since you would only see them out at night. On the other hand, it's great for vampire players to use since they would be out at night as well .

nice concept but I see plenty of vamps out during the day... and when you can turn off the sun players need no longer fear the sunlight

I use their fallen comrades. The nice thing about being a skilled Necromancer is as long as you have enemies, you have bodies. You overwhelm them eventually.

I use their own minds against them, the dawnguard may be battle hardy but they're weak minded. Easy prey for illusion spells.

The fork/knife set I found on the porch at Honeyside, each double-enchanted with Drain Life and Fire damage.

Up close, Dual weilding the Dawnguard Rune Axe and Mehrune's Razor
Ranged, an Enhanced Crossbow w/Fire enchant firing dwarven bolts

Armor-wise, for some unknown reason, the Dawnguard Rune Shield hasn't worked since the first few times. When it worked it was epic! Very useful!
Still a fine shield but sustained blocking no longer generates that lovely second enchant.

Depends on the mood I'm in and what character. My current character is an Altmer Vampire, pure unarmored mage who also uses Bound Bow. So it varies between Illusion, Necromancy, Shouts, Destruction, and Bound Bow, or Vampire Lord.

Rah Rein, my enchanted Daedric Longsword that does 40 points of fire and frost damage along with over 300 base damage, the Aetherial crown+ritual stone if I'm in a necromancy mood, illusion magic when I wanna mess with them, or a Vampire Lord to freak them out. Or I just sneak up and kill them all.

Auriel's Bow. Even for normal kills. At almost 600 damage with everything combined toward undead, I can't lose. Well, I can, but you know.

Well, I don't have an Xbox atm. But once I have it on PC:

Auriel's Bow with Sunlight Arrows
Dawnbreaker
Customizable Sunlight/Turn Undead weapons
Bane of the Undead (base damage is 50, I upped it to about 200, it IS a master spell after all)
Stendarr's Aura
Expert version of Vampire's Bane (Gonna mod it to disintegrate the Undead as well)

With these mighty relics and incantations, my champion of Arkay, Talos, and Stendarr shall be a force of divine retribution and holy doom to the unliving.
