I always use a scimitar. The strikes are so fast and so powerful, I've never found a worthy replacement.

Once I find one, I stick with the Elven Greatsword. Despite the fact the the rest of my equipment is leather, I find the Elven Greatsword to be particularly appealing.

An entire collection of curved swords, in fact!
Swimming with them is even more fun than fighting. If you keep it in its holder and swim with it partially above water, it looks like a shark fin. Anyone who doesn't have one is missing out, that's all I can say.

I'd say the Ebony Mail, if people could actually stand near me while I wear it. So I guess I would have to say my Ebony Sword with Absorb Health, or my Glass Bow with Fire Damage.

I thought the poison affect only happened when attacked.

My Nord began her journey as a simple huntress wielding a simple bow, but one day she happened to stumble across the shack of an archer by the name of Angi. The woman was slightly hostile towards her at first, as can be expected of a mountain hermit, but soon grew friendly when it became clear that her visitor meant her no harm. Even took her out to her archery range and taught her a few tips and tricks, showing her how to shoot fast and true. The final test of skill completed, she gifted her student with her own bow - Angi's bow. My Nord's been using it ever since.
As for my Imperial, she's an independent sort and rarely uses any weapons or armour she hasn't crafted herself. The ebony sword she wields is a thing of beauty and you'll be hard-pressed to get her to swing anything else. :]

I always have and always will use an iron sword.

A true swordsman doesn't need anything more.
