What is your Diablo-3 4 man group?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 3:02 pm

My brothers, my dad, and I plan to run a 4 man party with 2 barbs, 1 wizard, and a monk. Both my younger brother and my dad just love playing barbarians (my younger brother is very skilled gamer, and I think the skill gap for playing a barb in Inferno is going to be pretty high so that works out), I don't mind playing a support monk, and 4 melee seems overkill so we're probably going to have a wizard as our fourth slot. It seems like a pretty well rounded group, and given that PVP is 3v3, we can run a barb wizard and monk PVP team which should work well enough.

What about you guys? Do you have any plans for a 4 man group in D3?

At first, my friends and I were gonna get the game. We were gonna have at least on of each class. Well except one because there are 5 classes. I was going to play a wizard.... Then when more news about Diablo 3 came about. Such as RMT, no mods, and no offline play. I canceled my pre-order.

After playing all the classes, Monk, Barb, and Wizard seems like a great combination. Throw in a Witch Doctor, and it would be a lot of fun. Though my 4-man team will probably consist of whatever the people I play with want to play.

Witch-doctor is the only class remotely close, but still quite different. Because, believe it or not, Diablo 3 is not the same game as Diablo 2. Awesome how that works.

Two monks, a wizard and barbarian would absolutely destroy. Love the monk class.

I'm a fan of monks as well. A very flexible class. You can provide support for your allies, and then crack an enemy's head with your staff. It is what I wish that "healers" were in almost every other game.

is witch doctor the pet class? I'm a huge fan of pet classes.

I admittedly have not read much about Diablo 3.

He has summons. Some of which are undead. But basically, yes.

Hopefully. Blizzard could still push it back a couple months if they wanted to.

Just what I hoped not to hear. I wanted Diablo 2 squared. [censored] that.

It's really pretty good. There are a few decisions I'm not happy about, and it looks like they plan on making major gameplay decisions based on how much they will increase profit for the real money auction house. But for the most part, it's an improvement on the series, just like D2 was a HUGE improvement over D1. I like the skill system, I really like the crafting system (at least a Smith is more useful than Charsi). They basically made gameplay much less cumbersome and made it unnecessary to grind an entire new character just because you want a different class build. Individual loot and gold in co-op is awesome. Unfortunately, averaged gold/magic find is not awesome.
