It is very situational weapon. Most of the time it only takes space in inventory, but when said the situation arises it's a life saver.

The situation for a "Hunter's Fat Man" rose for me just now, literally. A surprise overleveled Mirelurk Queen Well, she could take that hit, but not the rocket after it

And before that, a legendary overleveled assaultron. Sure i killed her with incendiary minigun the first time, but their post mortem explosion always gets me Thought it simpler to use one mini-nuke rather than 300 5mm the second time.

Note to self, when assaultron dies, RUN!

Heh, well over 200. Between my fatman, .50cal sniper, Gauss rifle, Deliverer, combat rifle, many explosives, and numerous aid items that i never use I rarely get it under 250.

147. I've got a pistol, sniper rifle, SMG, and laser rifle, a second set of clothing for bartering, and a hazmat suit for those "special occasions."

You can make something called refreshing beverage which is -1000 rads and +500 hitpoints. Nuka Cola Quantum also heals 400 hitpoints. Mirelurk queen steaks and deathclaw steaks are also not bad, but the rest weigh to much to be useful. Stimpaks, a few refreshing beverage and a few quantums is it for me. I break down any armour or guns I loot at passing work benches and swing past a linked settlement to drop things off. Cait is also in PA and can carry her weight as well.

I collect ammo at my base and then take the two weapons with the most ammo, rotating as I find/buy more. A couple bottle cap mines and all the molotovs and grenades I can find is the rest.

Boosting your Medic perk means you only have to use weightless stimpaks for healing, and minimizing yourself to around 4 weapons means cutting off a good 50-100 pounds. Beyond 4 weapons, a lot of their roles seem redundant. I keep: weak targets weapon, general targets weapon, big mutha dropper weapon, and long distance weapon. If there's a role outside those four, I don't know it.

All I do to keep weight down. Plus, fewer weapons used means more weightless ammo to convert to caps.

Mines usually around 140 with a max carry of 310. My guy is a pistol specialist so 4 out of his 5 guns are low-weight by default and the fifth is a fully modded legendary combat shotgun that I use against ghouls and general CQB situations.

120 to 130 full set of polymer deep pocketed combat armor & military fatigues w/ ballistic weave 5 weapons are usually a combat rifle, a laser sniper rifle, combat shotgun & a pistol along w/ some purified water a little food & a handful of chems radaway & such. I find this loadout works best for me I haul a ton of crap back to base to fuel settlement building & weapons & armor crafting

I'm at 76/480-ish. I wear the Sturdy Combat chest and arms, and Heavy Combat legs, all with deep pockets. I carry either a .50 sniper rifle (TOUCH SOMEBODY) or a .308 combat rifle (TRUSTY), and a .44 (SIXER) or my original 10mm (OLD FAITHFUL). If I'm in power armor, I carry either a minigun (RAGE), an automatic laser rifle (PURGE), or a heavy assault rifle (MACHINE), with either an electric super sledge (MJOLNIR) or a heated super sledge (HAMMER OF DAWN).

1 weapon of random I like to mixed it up every time I head out.

5 weapons - Assassins 10mm, .45 Combat Rifle, Never Ending Combat Shotgun, Never Ending .50 Sniper and my trusty .44. Combat Body Armour and enough Roasted food for a decent banquet. I'm also a hoarder (/me sighs) which can mean multiple trips to a location so I can leave it "clean"

Reading that makes me want to clean up my inventory..... I'll go to Sanctuary and sit at the bar, I have people for that now.

I'm generally around 140-150. My main guns are the .50 recon sniper rifle, a modded combat rifle, and a modded advanced combat shotgun. I usually carry 5-10 each of frag grenades and molotov cocktails. I wear a Vault Suit and usually have Sturdy Combat Armor over the top, but sometimes regular Combat Armor or Heavy Combat Armor instead. I also wear a Combat Armor Helmet and the Patrolmen's Sunglasses. The only aid I carry with me typically is Stimpaks, Rad-X, RadAway, a couple of each of the Nuka Cola varieties, and a small assortment of chems. I don't use chems too often though, so I typically just have mentats and graqe mentats on hand for speech checks and better buying/selling prices.

Edit - Almost forgot - I also usually carry my 'charisma outfit' with me, which is Reginald's Suit (+3 charisma), the Fashionable Sunglasses (+1 charisma), and a Trillby Hat (+1 charisma).

I just got Destroyer's Helmet earlier, which is a legendary Combat Armor Helmet with +1 charisma and +1 intelligence. Since I have that, I might leave the trillby hat behind. Although it's become a signature part of my charisma outfit. Especially with the ballistic weave in it, I'm hesitant to give it up...lol

Depends, on one file it's about 310 (heavy CA and lots of guns, grenades, etc) out of 470 carry limit I think, on another it's like 115-120 cause she only has 2-3 guns, one or 2 melee weapons and her armour is just a Mk.5 Armored Courser Uniform.

Typically around 243 once I've unloaded everything I intend to unload, and I can hold around 390 without using any aids. I typically roll with 7-8 weapons on hand though. Like to switch things up a lot, so I never run out of one particular type of ammo.

Gotten in the habit of taking a few minutes to pare down the number of aids, and mines/grens I take with me. You don't need to lug around 147 purified waters, for example. Nor do you need 327 frag mines on hand.

Purified waters and mines in particular weigh 0.5 each. That adds up big time after a while.

Round the 140-150 mark. I have gun-bearers and lackeys to carry any unnecessary clutter.

Wow. You guys carry a lot of stuff around. I'm at 57. Modded combat rifle, 10 grenades, combat armor, vault suit, 6 rad away, charisma hat n shades. With scrounger and a semi auto weapon I'm finding .45 ammo as fast as I'm using it.

I run around 110-115, I carry 4 weapons, sniper...50 cal. medium...Plasma rifle, short...combat shotgun, and silence pistol for spotlights and bugs. I wear armor, but I mod them to be lighter. I carry food, until I build up my stims higher, carrying 100 of those now.
